I am responsible for managing Indra's 15-year, 40 million EURO contract for the Bahrain Health Care National System (I-SEHA), which includes providing Managed Services for over 1500 beds, 4 major hospitals, and 28 health centers. My role involves overseeing data centers across Bahrain and ensuring 24/7 support for over 8000 users, led by a diverse team of 50+ staff. Adhering to ITIL best practices, I provide first and second-level support, deploy and configure INDRA solutions, and manage the budget to enhance margins and profits without sacrificing service quality. I also handle new change requests and requirements, ensuring the successful execution of the contract.
As a senior member of the IT/IS management team, I played a pivotal role in the establishment of Etisalat, the third mobile operator in Egypt. Our primary objective was to construct a modern and sustainable information systems infrastructure and organization that would effectively support the company's commercial objectives.
One of my key responsibilities was managing and controlling the budget for the department, which amounted to over 100 million EGP. With a proven track record, I successfully recruited, motivated, and managed a large technical staff and consultants, totaling approximately 65 individuals.
In addition, I was responsible for overseeing the management of Request for Proposals (RFPs) and tenders related to the department, as well as negotiating with vendors to ensure the best possible outcomes for Etisalat.
Furthermore, I played a critical role in managing the operations of data centers, ensuring their seamless 24x7 functionality. This included overseeing operations teams and maintaining a high level of efficiency and reliability.
I took charge of supporting and operating all Etisalat BSS and OSS applications, which encompassed systems such as the billing system, CRM and call center solutions, POS and sales systems, ERP, EDWH, portal, and more. By optimizing operations management and support services, I ensured alignment with strategic business objectives, thereby enhancing overall performance and success for Etisalat.
Throughout my tenure, I demonstrated a strong commitment to achieving organizational goals and driving excellence in IT/IS management within the start-up environment of Etisalat.
In my role, I oversee a team of approximately 10 resources who are dedicated to supporting all BSS systems, including billing, CRM and call center solutions, POS and sales systems, and the portal, among others. It is my responsibility to effectively manage the vendors involved and ensure their compliance with company and data center policies.
Additionally, I am involved in reviewing and implementing production changes, shipments/releases, and new applications to ensure a smooth transition into the production environment. I prioritize accurate reporting and timely escalation of any production problems to both users and top management, enabling swift resolution and minimizing disruptions.
Maintaining the Service Level Agreement is crucial, and I take proactive measures to address any deviations or issues that may arise. By implementing corrective actions when necessary, I ensure that the agreed-upon service levels are consistently met.
Furthermore, I actively participate in defining department objectives that align with Vodafone Egypt's overarching goals. This collaborative approach ensures that our efforts contribute to the company's success and strategic direction
