• Perform weekly checks on all instruments sets and individual items to assure their sterility is maintained and that they are not outdated.
• Performs and participate in decontamination, cleaning, assembling, packaging, storage and distribution of reusable surgical instruments and equipment.
• Pick up/receive, decontaminate, inspect, assemble, pack and sterilize and distribute surgical instruments as per requirement.
• Sterilize instruments and equipment utilizing high pressure steam and ethylene oxide sterilizers.
• Answer the phone and receive requests foe sets and individuals from hospital staff.
• Sort mismatched sets of trays instruments and medical equipment.
• Maintained workplace safety and kept workspace clean of debris body fluids medical waste fumes wet floors and sharps.
• Disposed of biohazard substances and medical and chemical wastes
• Performs and participates in decontamination, cleaning, assembling, packaging, storage and distribution of reusable surgical instrumentation and equipment.
• Pick up/receive, decontaminate, inspect, assemble, pack and sterilize and distribute surgical instruments as per requirement.
• Sorts mismatched sets of instruments, trays, and medical equipment and makes them available for sterilization in timely manner.
• Restock, labels and maintaining of inventory, submits requisition, collection and distribution of instruments, trays, case carts and facility medical equipment.
• Performs environmental maintenance, duties and assists in maintaining inventory levels in sterile processing, operating room and in equipment storage areas.
• Verifies that equipment functions properly, requisition for equipment maintenance, repair or replacement, and removes defective equipment.
• Assists with maintaining established departmental policies and procedures, objectives and quality improvement, safety and environmental and infection control standards.
• Responsible for cleanliness of work areas.
• Coordinate with supervisor for special assignment.
Diploma in C.S.S.D Training Program from Medwin Institute of Medical Sciences, Hyderabad, India.
