A. Procurement Phase:
Evaluation of Engineering Material Requisitions (Bill of Quantity).
Sending enquiries and getting offers worldwide (including all Local & Foreign manufactures).
Co-ordination with Engineering and QA&I Department for Technical and Quality clearance.
Techno-commercial evolution of all vendor offers.
Techno-commercial meeting with vendors.
Negotiation and Finalization of orders within Competitive, Estimated & Benchmarked Prices keeping short possible delivery in mind during finalization of order (ie as per project requirement).
Price Benchmarking based on SAP Data, Cruspi index and L.M.E. Current Market Prices.
Finalization of order on Rs / Kg Basis (wherever possible).
Vendor follow-up to ensure timely delivery (i.e within CDD) of ordered items.
Managing supplier's Bank Guarantees till Defect Liability Period of the Project..
Selection and development of New / Alternative Vendors and building good professional relations on long terms basis with all vendors.
Tracking of ordered items (for all projects) starting from date of receipt of "Bill of Quantity" till receipt of material at Project site.

B. Frame Agreement (Rate Contract) With Various Piping Vendors:- Frame Agreements with Various Piping Vendor's for a duration of six months or one year to get better price discount (i.e turnover discounts) & best delivery as well as to reduce / Minimize complete Ordering cycle time (i.e by saving time which generally spent in sending enquiry, getting offer and techno-commercial discussions).

Frame agreement for Piping Items i.e Fasteners and Gaskets has been finalized during my term.

C. Proposal Phase;-
Estimation and providing Price (Rs / Kg) to Proposal team for New Project Bidding purpose.
Introduction and development of New Vendor who can deliver material within competitive price and short delivery.

PREVIOUS JOB ACHIEVEMENTS :
Savings in major orders of Piping items like Pipes, Valves, Flanges, Fasteners, Gaskets and other Piping Specialties (Approx. USD 300, 000 in IOCL-RR Project and OMPL Project, Approx. USD 800, 000 in PDO Project ) by implementing different strategies viz. Frame agreements, scope split, removal of over-specifications, subcontracting inspection & transportation, low-cost country sourcing, back-to-back agreements, first stage negotiations etc.
Saving of USD 200, 000 in ordering of Large bore piping items (Pipe, Kammprofile gaskets and Lip Seal gaskets) of 158" diameter for IOCL-RR Project by introducing new suppliers and timely modifying the design based on suggestion by vendors.
Saving of Approx USD 400, 000 in ordering 36" Swing check Valve by converting into Nozzle type Valve. Awarded with L&T ICON.
Successful benchmarking for various piping items using LME base metals prices and SAP R/3 and ECC 6.0 Past Project data for better negotiation.
