As Senior Accountant
KEY DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Participate in development and implementation of the finance strategy for the Organization with due regard to requirements.
* Develop/ oversee development of financial accounting policies and procedures as well as control adherence to these.

* Provide recommendations towards Qatar Media Services accounting policies and application of accounting standards.
* Proactively follow changes in laws and accounting standards as well as makes sure they are accounted for.
* Supervise reviews and updates of the Chart of Accounts based on business requirements and reporting structure.
* Supervise preparation of statutory financial statements and submit them to relevant authorities internally and externally. Provide explanations and supporting information for any clarifications required.
* Supervise maintenance of fixed asset records as well as provides interpretative assistance with regards to fixed asset capitalization/ expensing.
* Oversee monitoring and collection of due payments as well as follow up with customers to safeguard company interest with regards to the payment receipt.
* Oversee timely processing of payments for the goods and services received.
* Provide cash requirement forecasts to the Direct Manager and Organization function based on projected payable receivable amounts.
* In liaison with IT team supervise development and maintenance of accounting systems and applications to ensure valid, accurate and timely financial and non-financial information. Supervise and facilitate external and internal audits to ensure that Company's financial interest is protected at all times and that all financial transactions are recorded in line with effective regulations.
* Control that any financial transactions are recorded accurately and on timely basis to create a basis for the proper reporting.
* Supervise timely closing of books of account on monthly, quarterly and yearly basis, as per the guidelines of the Organization.
* Supervise and review of monthly payroll.
* Perform any other duties as assigned by the Chief Financial Officer.
