Cashier Job Description
1. Answer customers' questions, and provide information on procedures or policies.
2. Bag, box, wrap, or gift-wrap merchandise and keep the stocks of POS materials in a proper level.
3. Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change.
4. Issue receipts, refunds, credit notes, or change due to customers.
5. Maintain clean and organized counter area.
6. Process merchandise returns and exchanges.
7. Resolve customer complaints.
8. Accept reservations.
9. Calculate total payments received during a time period, and reconcile this with total sales.
10. Works on submitting all requested weekly & Monthly repost as per store needs.
11. Greet customers during transaction process and listen carefully for their comments.
12. Suggest additional products for customers to complete their outfit e.g., Accessories...etc.
13. Inform the customers with the return and exchange policies and requirements.
14. Closing the cash register through Sales Collection and send the Daily Sales Report e-mail to the accounting department and the concerned brand management team.
Sales Associate Job Description:
Sales Associate-responsible for helping to run to the store on a day to day basis by assisting with launching retail initiatives, general store maintenance and training new staff.
· Meeting and greeting customers when they enter to shop.
· Operating the till and handing financial transactions.
· Answering queries from shoppers.
· Receiving deliveries from suppliers.
· Cataloging stock & performing inventory checks.
· Reporting any issues of concern to senior managers.
· Checking and replenishing stock on displays.
· Undertaking cleaning and housekeeping duties.
· Getting items from the stock room.
· Making sure baskets are available for customers to use.
· Helping customers find different products within the store.
