Duties and Responsibilities
• Support least developed countries to develop systems and mechanisms that mobilize primarily domestic resources (public and private) for local investments that deliver measurable impact in strengthening local fiscal space and building local fixed capital
• Develop and lead country initiatives in local development finance
• Manage and / or support implementation of global projects
• Provide policy support and advice to governments
Duties and Responsibilities
• Supervise the preparation of the annual plan, activities and budget.
• Assist the Board of Directors in strategic decision making.
• Maintain excellent relationships with national and international partners.
• Mange the entire organization of MDLF (over 60 staff and $70 million/year).
• Coordinate with 10 international developing Parties (World Bank, KfW, GIZ, SIDA, DANIDA, afd, SDC, BTC, VNG and EU)
• Review good governance oriented strategic objectives, ensure effective and efficient management of on-going projects and programs, such as the (Local Governance related Projects) emergency based grants, and new development projects.
• Provide direction and leadership towards achieving the assigned annual strategic objectives of the MDLF. Including: integrated financial management, strategic and physical planning, social accountability and operation and maintenance issues.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Defined and supervised the implementation of the approved strategies by the Board of Directors.
• Prepared the fundraising plan and the annual budget.
• Managed the various activities of the Palestinian Housing Council, including its professional staff of 52 persons.
• Reviewed designs, plans and studies submitted to the Palestinian Housing Council and those prepared by the assigned staff.
• Ensured effective and efficient management of on-going projects, such as the (micro-finance) soft loan projects, new housing development projects.
• Provided direction and leadership towards achieving the assigned annual goals and objectives of the PHC.
