Responsible for handling all network implementations actions \[survey, delivery, installation, commissioning, integration, launching & upgrades\] for BTS, Flexi BSC and TCSM.
Ensure that BSS Network elements outdoor/indoor perform as per project standards and all installation responsibilities are dealt with such as site survey, installation quality check, commissioning, troubleshooting errors, acceptance, site integration and reporting.
Coordinates subcontractor resource capacity, tools and competence to ensure site installation deliverables according to time schedule.
Manage site survey, site survey report, site installation and assessment according to project quality process and as built quantity reporting, BSS Network element, troubleshooting, site integration and initial performance test activities.
Responsible for assisting, implementing and supervising various work activities related to installation and implementation of NSN 2G equipments.
Coordinates with transmission teams for needed routing and re-homing actions.
Preparation of SCF according to issued hardware and NPO requirements.
Technical support for BTS hardware failures.
o Interface between customer and subcontractor for all related Level1 actions.
o Fault Management takes end-to-end responsibility for corrective maintenance of Network problems ensuring trouble tickets are actively managed
o Alarm Monitoring, Fault Localization/Correction/Verification
o Liaises with other service providers regarding network outages
o Supports end-end support, coordination and control of assigned Trouble Tickets
o Supports Major service outage investigations and follow up
o Ensures planned outages are carried out/rolled back in maintenance window
o Ensures Operator Customer Care is fully updated for service affecting outages
-Installation and commissioning of the all BSS product line of Motorola \[BSC, Remote TRAU, PCU and BTS \[Macro/Mini/Micro\].
-Acting as a standby on-site filed engineer during Major OSS upgrade activities that is applied to BSCs \[GSM Software Release GSR upgrades\] to support hardware faults of the associated BSC/PCU.
-Integration and Operation on new BSCs to the network and checking BSC-NSS interoperability of signaling links, OSS and encoded voice circuits with associated TRAUs.
-Integration and Operation on new TRAUs in the remote transcoding mode with NSS core \[signaling links and CICs\] of the A-Interface and with OSS \[Operation and maintenance link\].
-Applying BSS planned activities related to GSM Radio Base stations such as \[Capacity hardware upgrade/downgrade, Site splitting, Swapping old version sites, Swapping-Splitting composite activity, EDGE application for Old and new version sites…\].
-Integration and configuration for new base stations to be ready for On-Air operation.
-A-bis interface static PCM transmission for Base stations for capacity upgrades and new sites either back to back to BSC or Drop-Insertion to another base station.
-Attending Drive tests for new sites during radio frequency integration and optimization processes.
-Resolving Radio performance problems for Base stations \[High Dropped calls rates, Interference-On-Idle, Positive and Negative path balance problems, VSWR, Radio Losses, Quality losses\].
