Responsibilities
• Reporting directly to the Purchasing Director and managing a total of 3 categories.
• Define, develop and implement purchasing plans, policies and procedures in order to ensure the provision of goods and services that support the achievement of overall business objectives.
• Ensure the delivery of KPIs targets that include sales, profitability & turnover to enable the company to achieve the defined sales plan objectives
• Negotiate with key suppliers on contract terms as required to reduce lead time and ensure best value purchasing conditions are obtained.
• Research and monitor activities and trends in the relevant supply markets in order to ensure having enough knowledge before deciding on product selection and pricing.
• Liaise regularly with other departments in order to understand ongoing business activities and development and the implications this will have for purchasing service support.
• Provide approval and financial authorization to place orders with suppliers in line with set corporate financial authority limits.
• Control Category department budgets.
• Attending trade fairs overseas, to select and assemble continuous new collections of products in order to offer differentiation and meet customer expectations; Have attended trade fairs in China, Germany, USA, Holland, Italy, France, Turkey, India, Hong Kong & Dubai

KEY Achievements:

• Managed to establish and develop the Kitchen & Serving business from days 1 to contribute 52% of the company’s total sales.
• Have delivered 96% of the sales target in 2012 & overachieved the budget by 4% in 2013.
• Increased the category overall margin by 3% in 2013.
• Managed to achieve additional targeted yearly funds
