- Monitor and inspect all mechanical erection/installation/commissioning activities of the Contractors with regards to progress, compliance with the Contracts and applicable codes/standards, quality, safety and environmental acceptance.
- Attend Witness I Hold I Review points in inspections and test plans as required.
- Issuing of Defect Reports (D R), surveillance Notifications (S N) and Non-Confirmative Reports (NCR).
- Ensure any non-conformances are followed through and remedied
- Review Test package & making Punch list for completed systems.
- Functional & performance tests for complete mechanical system/subsystems
- Monitor and verify Contractors work progress in purpose of progress payments.
- Attend the regular (daily/weekly) Site meetings with the Contractors and the monthly progress review meeting.
- Prepare the regular Site progress reports as required (Daily, weekly and monthly).
- Transfer of knowledge to the Client’s junior mechanical engineers.
- Participate in outage activities, inspections, re-checks, repairs and maintenance.
• Areas:
- Boiler (Steel Structure, pressure & Non-pressure parts)
- Air pre-heater (Steam air heater & Re-Generative air heaters) & SCR.
- E S P, FGD, ID, FD, Aeration & Seal Fans.
Electricity costing & Tariff determination.
•Provide recommendations for modification or restructuring of the electricity tariff.
•Participation in the working committees in the field of energy and energy efficiency.
- National Electricity Corporation, renamed Sudanese Thermal Power Generation Company (STPG) at Kosti Thermal Power Plant Project (4*125 Crude oil fired Boilers) Kosti - Sudan.
- Position: Senior Construction & Commissioning Mechanical Client Engineer.
• Main responsibilities:
- Participating in design and engineering phase to validate and approval for (Design, technical specifications, tender Documents, and offer evaluation)
- Review and comments on Technical specifications, piping & Instrumentation diagram (P&ID’s), Field Quality Plans.
- Attending and participating in Factory Acceptance Tests for mechanical equipment.
- Attending and participating design meeting and technical discussions with EPC, vendors and third parties for detailed engineering.
- Attending and participating in site review and progress meeting.

Operate station units as per LDC request.
•Regular reports.
•Arrangement for unit shut down with LDC and maintenance.
•Issuing & closing of work permits.
•Checking safety precaution during maintenance works.

•Lecturer for the three years diploma students Mechanical Engineering Design, Applied thermodynamics, Introduction for mechanical engineering and Heat transfer.
•Exams setting, control and joined collage senate meetings.
