1) To implement awareness raising sessions on mental health and psychosocial support
• Provide direct awareness-raising sessions based on a guidebook, focused on mental health and psychosocial issues such as stigma, traumatic event, depression, anxiety, stress, grief, family issues, etc. in line with ACF guidelines and procedures.
• Evaluate the beneficiaries’ knowledge before and after the sessions.
• Favour exchange and participation among the beneficiaries.
• Identify and support local partners (CBOs) in delivering awareness and psychoeducation activities and facilitate their access to beneficiaries.
• Contribute to MHPSS campaign through volunteers, by training and supporting them, and developing mass media tools (such as radio).
2) To build capacities of identified CBOs, local partners and community members
• Train and supervise CBOs, partners and community members on basic helping skills, Problem Management + and on referral pathway; and on training their own staff
• Participate in elaborating self-help technics and adapting them according to the target population
• Support local partners to observe, monitor their activities and evaluate their impact
• Provide training on Psychological First Aid (PFA) and referral pathways to employers
3) To contribute to all planned activities related to MHPSS and others
• Conduct counselling and group sessions for identified people in need if needed
• Participate to ACF psychosocial workers training and supervision on WHO approaches and ACF methodologies conducted by the MHPSS programme manager and the technical expert.
• Contribute to identification and mapping of PHCCs, CBOs, other actors and potential partners in the area with the aim to build their capacities or coordinate with them
• Support actively the referral system model of the project
• Support on delivery of group intervention to beneficiaries meeting specific criteria
• Contribute to needs and gaps assessments
• Participate to local and national workshops organized by the programme manager, involving partners, community members, etc.
• Contribute to monitoring and evaluation by collecting data in the field
• Understand and follow the logistics, financial and security procedures enabling the project implementation
• Participate actively and regularly to technical supervision conducted by the DPM or
the HoD
Follow up and monitoring the soft and hard • Archiving approach.
• Attend a five-day training on research tools, and the particularly the tools that would be used for
this assignment.
• Attend practice days to role play using the tools with volunteer families.
• Collect quantitative and qualitative data from families residing in Al Hashmi Al Shamali area in
Amman.
• . Ensure informed consent is collected from each family taking part
• Share back/ upload collected raw data with War Child’s Research Coordinator.
• Attend regular debriefing meetings in which they report back on progress made, as well as any
challenges or observations encountered while data is being collected.
• Support in the validation of collected data ensuring findings are relevant to the local context.
• Adhere to War Child’s data protection protocols, Integrity Framework and Child Protection
policies.
• Ensuring that the study data collected with high scientific quality, and with optimal relevance.
• Reporting administratively to Research Coordinator, WCH.
• Collect information and data (including conducting FGD and KII).
• Carry out assessment.
• Assistance distribution and follow-up.
• Hotline handling duties and follow-up of projects.
• Support the identification of project beneficiaries.
• Provide information to vulnerable Syrian and Jordanian households about the services available in the areas.
• Assist in all distributions in all projects PRM and ECHO and OCHA.

• Recommend some cases for referrals to different organizations according to family status.
• Conducting home visits through the field survey to determine the needs of the vulnerable families.
• Conducting some task inside the office such as reception, copying documents and archiving.
• Follow-up the beneficiaries after distributions to see their feedbacks and satisfactions.
• Distribution information materials on the services of organizations in the region.
