I was working as HSE supervisor within the project of Rehabilitation of Skikda refinery Project. ALGERIA

I was in charge of supervision of construction activities such as (excavation work, hot work, confined space work, demolution work, erection of steel structure and mechanical equipment such as column, civil work, and radiography work in addition to tie-in-work).

My major Duties and Responsibilities are as the Following:
 Participate in the safety survey prior to the start up of the boiler, Hydrogen purification plant and Light Naphtha plant.
 Provide safety assistance for the commissioning team for the activities like catalyst loading, firing of heater and refractory dry out, and for acidizing of isomerization reactor. Also responsible for the Emergency Evacuation Procedures for these activities.
 Make sure that subcontractors are observing Samsung HSE policy for the safety of personnel and equipments in the site in line with HSE policy of Sonatrach Aval.
 Assist all the members of the project management team to work safely
 Produce a weekly report detailing any incidents or near misses and potential hazards
 Make sure that corrective actions are being taken as per recommendations
 Coordinate with sub-contractor’s safety representatives to seal the safety diffficiencies in the site


Tasks:

- Participation in weekly safety meeting ( meeting with subcontractor and client )
- Advising workers for the manners of doing the work safely
- Work site inspection, and reporting of unsafe work conditions, unsafe act, and unsafe behavior
- Reporting and investigating of any accident in the work place
-Implementation and follow up of the company HSE policy,
-Implementation of different HSE procedures,
-Coordination with client and preparation of monthly report
-Carrying out of safety meetings & TBM: internal, with subcontractors
-Follow up and application of different instruction and recommendations described by HSE group
-Implementation and assistance in risk assessment and JSA,
-Reporting, Investigations, Inspections…
-Supervision at Site with regard to HSE matter
