main assigned tasks:
Integrate all data gathered during drilling with those generated from modeling, planning and offset wells, in order to improve the drilling process and reduce costs
Analyze the relevant data and communicate with the Sonatrach Project members
Follow Best Practices on all drilling operations and document all lessons learned
Prepare and follow all Key Performance indicators (KPIs)
Document all drilling events and/or accidents and close the associated Footprint Tickets
Collaborate with the Sonatrach Drilling Engineers and Superintendents to communicate any recommendations
Drilling Engineer, member of the BHIO Drilling Engineering Team at Sonatrach-base 24 Fevrier, Direction Forage (Exploration side).
Assigned tasks include but not limited to the following:
• Provide initial well timelines for planning purposes, drilling time curves, and initial cost estimates. Review with drilling superintendent and Head drilling engineering
• Acquire planning data from geology, reservoir engineering and geophysics.
• Ensuring proper research on offset wells datas is conducted.
• Carry out offset wells data analysis.
• Recommend means to prevent drilling problems, i.e. wellbore instability, lost circulation, stuck pipe, etc
• Work with various service providers to ensure plans are achievable.
• Provide engineering support/advise to the rig on operation execution.
• Generate AFE for tenders.
• Actively monitor implementation of drilling programs.
• Monitor execution of well programs and ensure they are in compliance with plans and that all KPI's and NPT targets are met.
• Verify with HSE manager the reports system is in place properly and expected corrective actions are closed.
• Preparation of wells AAR (After Action Review).
• Ensure provision of End of Well reports.
Responsibilities include but not limited to the followings:
• Follow up the drilling and completion operations in offshore Mauritania (Zone A & B Blocks 4 & 5).
• Monitor implementation of well drilling programs and ensure operations are in compliance with plans.
• Provide engineering support to project management and review the well delivery process.
• Ensuring well AFE's are accurate and timely set.
• Ensure drilling and completion databases are regularly updated and organized for daily use
• Ensuring all required reports are accurate and forwarded to all concerned people.
• Ensuring operations comply with local regulations
• Ensure all statutory approvals for well programs are obtained.
• Follow up drilling and completion operations on offshore rig sites during the drilling campaign led by Woodside.
• Attended course in well engineering and well operations management.
o Basic Drilling Technology;
o Interpretation of Real-Time Drilling Data Screens;
o Introduction to well control;
o Cementation calculation;
o Introduction to completions;
o Stuck Pipe;
Monitor and control the execution of water supply networks in Mauritania.
Responsible for the Improvement Network course during two academic years.
