Title: Senior Registered Nurse- /Advanced life support instructor by American Heart Association,
Duties:
• Assess patients’ conditions by thoroughly going through their records and medical histories
• Provides quality medical nutrition therapy based on client expectations and needs
• Interview patients to determine complaints and take notes to add to their records
• Develops an individualized interdisciplinary nutrition care plan with short and long-term goals.
• Creates an educational setting conducive to learning with adequate resources to facilitate the learning process.
• Check and record patients’ vitals such as pulse, respiration, blood pressure and temperature
• Observe patients to determine changes (deterioration or betterment) in condition and ensure that they are reported and recorded immediately
• Establish treatment plans after assessing patient conditions and ruling out aversion or allergies to medication
• Educate patients and their families about conditions and medication
• Measure health outcomes against patient care goals and provide / incorporate suggestions for improvements
• Ascertain that a clean and sanitized environment is maintained for patients by adhering to infection control procedures
• Document patient care services by making sure that all medications, conditions, responses and recorded
Faculty of nursing
Duties: this position involves supervising nursing students in variety of health care sittings &works as a
- acting charge nurse
•Duties: Nursing caring of critical cases as acute MI. post CPR. Respiratory failure. Pulmonary edema. Acute e& chronic renal failure. Congestive heart failure cardiomiopathy. CABG cases with IOBP. All ventilated patients with chest tube, C.V. P line, and subclavian catheter. Tracheotomy. Brain hemorrhage. C.V.A cases, acute respiratory distress syndrome, aortic valve replacement, & dealing with all types of sleep apnea.
Medical Machines:
Anne pump heparin pump, invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilators, epidural sedation machines intra-aortic balloon pump Phillips monitoring and its transducers (C.V. P. arterial line, thermometer probe).
Procedures:
Working as an assistant in endotracheal tube insertion. N.G.T insertion, follies catheter insertion, arterial, C.V.P line insertion and chest tube insertion.
MICU.CCU capacity: we have eight beds one of them is for Hemodialysis
Hospital Capacity: 140 beds.
MICU nurse to patient ratio: 1:1 as a ventilated patient.
