Feasibility, Traffic Analysis and Economic Performance of newly planned
Greater Cairo Metro Line 6 - Cairo, Egypt.
The Project of Metro Line No. 6 is a strategic project and part of the National
Authority for Tunnels (NAT) mega project for connecting all Greater Cairo districts
through Metro Lines. Metro Line 6 connects the Khosous area at exit 18th of the
ring road in the far north of Cairo and the new Maadi Area in the far south of Cairo.
Expansion and improvement of the existing water supply and wastewater networks
for Taif city till the design target year of 1470 H, in addition to serving the deprived
areas within the city’s boundaries. The project area population is about 2, 575, 000
per capita with a total area of 231, 500 ha.
Client: National Water company.
Role: Senior Project Engineer.
Duties: Participated in the design and hydraulic analysis, preliminary design reports,
final design reports, tender documents, technical specifications and BOQs.

This project is launched by the water directorate of the Assir region in Saudi Arabia
and addresses technical requirements of water and wastewater for Urban Abha, and
extends to cover other institutional, environmental and financial aspects including
reformulation of the mission and vision of the Directorate, permanent goal setting,
analysis of the existing situation, preparing a strategic plan for water and wastewater
systems, development of the water and wastewater strategic plan, set time and spatial
frames for projects implementation, guidelines and indicators. The Project thus
serves as a vital tool for the Client to implement future projects with more integrity
and pre-planning which is the main advantage of strategic planning projects. The
design includes water pipeline modelling.

Line from the North reservoir to the town of ABHA plant
“ELSODAH Park “- Saudi Arabia
The project scope is to serve the “El SODAH” zone and its Underserved village
through a transmission water Line from the North reservoir to the town of ABHA
plant to “EL SODAH Park”.
Client: General water directorate in Asser region.
Role: Wet Utility design
Wastewater tunnel from Jeddah downtown existing pumping station to El
Khumrah wastewater treatment plant
The project scope is to design Wastewater Tunnel 3.00m in diameter & 16 KM in
length from Jeddah’s downtown existing pumping station to the El Khumrah
wastewater treatment plant. The total construction cost is $ 175 million.
Client: General water directorate in MAKKAH MUKARRAMAH region.
Role: Wet Utility design
The project scope is designing a wastewater Master plan for the second phase of
Jeddah city and its extensions till the year 2040 (60.000 ha). Along with the associated
pumping station. The project is divided into 28 contracts for sewers of 200-1000 mm
diameters and tunnels of 400-3000 mm diameters with total lengths of 3000 km. The
total construction cost is $ 550 million.

Master Plan of Water and Wastewater Networks for Makah 2nd Stage - Saudi
Arabia
The project aims at two main objectives:
a) Rehabilitation and upgrading of existing water and wastewater systems for the city,
which currently cover around 35% of the total area.

b) Providing the deprived areas of the city (around 65%) with a water supply and
wastewater schemes. The city extends over an area of 32000 ha with a resident
population of 3.4 million inhabitants, in addition to 5 million pilgrims at Hajj season.
The water supply project is divided into 14 contracts with a total cost of 1400 Million
S.R. (the US $ 378 Millions). Pipeline diameters range between 1600 mm and 150
mm with a total length of 7000 km. Water is stored in 6 water tanks with capacities
ranging from 30, 000 to 60, 000 m3.

Master Plan of wastewater at Industrial City -EL SHEKH NAGAR - Syria
The project addresses technical requirements of water and wastewater for the
industrial city in (El SHEKH NAGAR) The project constitutes about 300 Km of
water and wastewater networks.
