scheduling the patient who are seeking for seeing the doctors in Cleveland clinic abudhabi hospital either patient with resident visa or global patient.
* basically we are receiving the requests through the call center or through the assigned email address published on the main website .
* we need to capture the essential demographic to create medical records for the patient in our hospital, like emirates ID, and the personal information about the patient and for global patient we need to create the medical record number using the Cleveland clinic abudhabi medical system called EPIC program and to make sure we capture the correct email address to send the intake form and to make sure the patient send the personal details through that email and to fill the intake form to proceed for his request through the global patient team to issue his visit visa and to book the hotel for him if required .
* making sure if the patient needs any medical assistance like wheel chair, or he will be coming by stretcher or if he need any medical supplies like oxygen cylinder.
* receiving the referrals from other healthcare like SEHA or the patient from MINISTRY OF HEALTH who are coming for evaluation for treatment outside the country, or referrals from
CROWEN PRINCE COURT, we need to select the assigned email for each team and send the case to the prober team through the assigned email.
* we need to make sure that the insurance is accepted by taking all the insurance card details and making sure the policy is correct and it covers all the possible procedures in Cleveland clinic Abudhabi by checking the website of each insurance company using the insurance policy number and the emirates ID number.
* verifying with the patient the medical reason for visit and choosing the best consultant based on the training we had with each department and each institute.
* I am also distributing and forwarding the emails coming to me based on each request.
* Differentiate between the emails need to be carried by myself or need to be forwarded to supply chain or the referrals from the external hospitals to our hospital.
* avoiding any scheduling error.
* transferring the requests for the patient need to be transferred to our hospital form another hospital to the transferring center.
* making sure the cases need to be transferred to the nurse triage team if the patient mentioned any trigger word.
*attending all the meeting regarding to an update with new insurance company because i am representing my department for attending such meeting with new payer then train all the staff based on the information i gained because of my previous experience with insurance.
* helping the patient to get in touch with their physician for medication refill or in case if they have any worsening symptoms after surgery or admission.
* helping the patient to get in touch with the financial counselling team in case if
they have any query about the cost of their procedure.
Coordinating with the OR (operation room) scheduler to help the patients booking their surgeries.

in the first year i worked in nmc hospital:
* i worked as patient access in the out paint department like (eye clinic - Gastroenterology-general internal medicine -orthopedic - dermatology -neurology pediatric and ENT)
* after 6 moth i was promoted to work in inpatient department, then after 6 months of working in inpatient department I was promoted as team leader and supervisor for the whole inpatient regular wards and VIP wards.
*IN THE INPATIENT WARDS:

receiving the patient from outpatient clinic or the emergency department, making sure my colleagues in the ward receiving the patients in polite manner.
* scheduling the patient for surgeries or procedures based on the admitting doctor request and checking the eligibility of the insurance for covering the procedure under the required DRG and the CPT of the case.
* taking all the required signatures and providing the room for the patient based on his insurance plan.
* i have to make sure that the patient access in the ward are always making sure that the rooms are clean and tied.
* making sure that my colleagues in the ward are reviewing the eligibility of the insurance card one more time before proceeding with the admission process.
* reviewing all the inpatient billings was done by the inpatient employers before submitting it to the billing department, and make sure that the staff are deducting the exact amount if required.
* preparing the estimated cost for the self-pay patients and making sure that all the patients are receiving their discharge summary with the discharge medication with the coordination with inpatient pharmacy.
* making sure that the admitted patients are satisfied during their stay in the inpatient wards, and try to solve any problems the patients might face in the whole floors I am supervising.
* providing all the required training either for the new staff or for any new updates withe the current employers if there is update regarding to the new accepted insurance or any system update or policy update.
* receiving all the requests coming from the royal courts for royal families or the VVIP patients and accompany the royal or the VVIP patients to their ROYAL ward or the VIP ward.
