- Represent the company in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers.
- Implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures.
- Prepare bid awards requiring board approval.
- Research new vendors of materials, equipment or services.
- Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers.
- Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for raw materials and equipment.
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery.
- Review purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy.
- Resolve vendor or contractor grievances, and claims against suppliers.
- Maintain records of goods ordered and received.
- Analyze market and delivery systems to assess present and future material availability.
- Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed.
- Participate in the development of specifications for equipment, products, or substitute materials.
- Receiving PRs and issuing POs to the suitable suppliers.
- Prepare & revise all bank documents (LC's, Commercial invoice, packing list).
- Customs clearance and follow the goods until delivered to our warehouses.
Achievements:
- Saving about 1.5 million EGP annually for the company through good purchasing planning and obtaining competitive prices and discounts from suppliers.
- I succeeded in obtaining payment facilities from 75% of the suppliers (payment within 60 days instead of 30 days)
- Procuring raw materials with high quality and right price while maintaining the lowest levels of strategic stock of each raw material, which helped reduce the rejected quantities and provide financial liquidity to the company.
- Building a strong supplier list that can be relied upon at any time when needed.
- Providing full support to the technical team throughout the time during and after the start of the factory startup, which helped in the success of the trial run of the factory.
- It did not happen that the factory stopped once for lack of raw materials.
- Receiving, reviewing and recording foreign PRs on follow-up sheet.
- Issuing RFQs for materials, spare parts and shipping services.
- Issuing price comparisons and set orders in terms of best price, quality and delivery time.
- Create purchase orders from approved requisitions and issue to suppliers, ensuring pricing, terms and conditions accuracy in accordance with purchasing procedures.
- Issuing & processing and follow up of Letters of Credit and the payments for Suppliers.
- Revise Import documents and assuring compliance with all governmental requirements.
- Dealing with freight agents, tracking of incoming shipments & reporting weekly status and expected arrival dates.
- Following up custom clearance and notifying receiving dates.
- Follow-up with the warehouse section on receiving goods on time.
- Carry out chemical analysis for Raw material & Finish Goods.
(Acid value, Amine value, pH, Active matter content, etc.).
- Carry out physical analysis for Finish Goods (Viscosity, Density, Color, Solid content).
- Handel instruments (GC-Head space, GC-Autosampler, APHA Nessler, PH meter, and
Lovibond tintometer, etc.) and do their frequent calibration.
- Ensure hazardous chemicals are handled and stored safely.
- Perform investigations into analytical and Chemistry-related problems arising.
- Coordinate the training of laboratory personnel in new or modified analytical methods on
the shift.
- Complete all paperwork related to the analysis.
- Perform periodic calibration of Laboratory equipments.
- Provide Support to the Laboratory Manager.
- Undergoes 5S in lab to ensure everything is set-in order.
