Consultant-Sumitomo corp August 2003 to August 2009-
Full Development of Telecoms rehabilitation projects in Iraq under Japanese Government grant, starting from Initial projects conception to actual implementation and supervision, this included:
- close coordination with Iraqi Ministry of Communications and Ministry of planning up to the level of Ministers .
- Repeated explanations of Japanese Government Grant and loan procedures to Iraqi side
- successful efforts at both Japan and Iraqi ends to Include Telecommunications in Japanese Government Grant Including drafting of almost all Iraqi ministers letters to Japanese government, and arranging first ever visit to Japan by an Iraqi Minister of Communication to promote the projects and meet with senior Japanese politicians /decision makers on Japanese government Grant allocations.
- arranging or attending all Iraqi /Japan meetings in Amman, with variety of participants depending on the occasion and topic; including, Ministry of communications staff, Japanese government appointed consultants ( Nippon Koei), JICA (Jordan and Baghdad), Japanese contractors.
- Numerous visits to Iraq to assist in Project detailed definitions and scope of works assignments, field survey, risk assessment, and later to coordinate implementation with European subcontractors -Siemens and Alcatel
- participate in formulating training requirement, in Japan and third country (Egypt) for Iraqi staff, and supervising their trips and stay of the trainees and also factory inspection.

Telecom System Engineer
On Contract with NESIC, initially in NEC Overseas Satellite System Division in Yokohama .Later in NESIC Head Office in Tokyo
Preparation, together with the engineering team, of Techno/ commercial proposals for Satellite Earth Stations, for a variety of projects bids overseas, Including :
Standard A, B stations, VSATs, and TV Uplinks in : UAE-ETISALAT, Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi, Egypt, Jordan, Oman, Yemen, Algeria, Kenya, India, Iraq, Iran, USA ( For UAE Thuraya project ), Nepal, Vietnam, Philippines and Russia .
Contributed to team work responsible to prepare complete Integrated Plant (Mainly Oil & Gas ) Communication systems including Basic Conceptual design, Technical and Commercial proposals for a variety of NESIC Projects overseas, These systems include a variety of communications systems such as :Fiber Optic Systems, Data Network and Network Management, CCTV, Multi-discipline Radio, Video Conferencing Systems

Joined ETISALAT in September 1977 as assistant engineer transmission and progressed in various posts including first Mobile telephone system project manager until the end of my services as Chief Engineer Transmission & Switching
