I was involved as a Project Engineer in the Cold Rolling Mill area, specifically on the Pickling Line, within an automation renovation project at the Steel Complex of El Hadjar, my role focused on the modernization of an existing automation system, replacing an obsolete control architecture with a Siemens-based automated system. The project included the integration and commissioning of ABB DSC 800 variable speed drives, ensuring precise control of motor speed and torque.
Throughout the project, I participated in control system analysis, PLC programming, drive parameterization, functional testing, and final commissioning, contributing to improved operational reliability, process stability, and overall performance of the pickling line.

Instrumentation and automation professional with experience in the iron and steel industry, skilled in monitoring, calibration, and maintenance of field instruments, while supporting automation systems to optimize production processes and ensure safe, efficient, and reliable steel manufacturing operations.

• Lead Automation & Instrumentation team to ensure reliable process control.
• Supervise PLC programming (TIA Portal) and automation projects.
• Manage transmitters, oxygen/pneumatic valves, and I/P converters.
• Coordinate maintenance and reporting through SAP.

• Installed, calibrated, and troubleshooter transmitters (flow, pressure, gases incl. O₂, temperature).
• Maintained oxygen valves, pneumatic valves, and I/P converters.
• Supported automation systems and ensured measurement accuracy.
• Assisted production teams in resolving instrumentation issues.

Served as Project Engineer in the Steel Complex of El Hadjar, within the project zone, contributing to the development and modernization of the TSS (Tube Sans Soudure) gas pipe production unit, led the automation upgrade of a legacy system, converting an old manual/relay-based control system into a fully automated PLC-based system using Siemens Step 7. participated in system analysis, control logic design, PLC programming, testing, and commissioning to ensure reliable and efficient operation of the production line.
Collaborated with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project completion within technical and operational requirements.
