Participate in activity planning, coordination and execution of the Food security for increasing access to food for vulnerable households and market price monitoring activities
•Oversee the FSL operational activities; and field assessments, market price monitoring, distributions of vouchers, and redemption of voucher.
•Monitor the implementation of the FSL assistance project at the local level, in close collaboration with the field project staff, partners and local authorities
•Regularly monitor and review the overall commodity movements such as food deliveries, storage, transport and distribution at the site, verifying if the amounts received have been properly recorded as suitable, damaged or suspected to be damaged
•Supervise the efficient distribution of vouchers and redemption of vouchers at the target market sites and verify appropriate and proper distribution of scheduled entitlements, and provide feedback to Head of sub-office and others on the distribution
•Assist in conducting regular meetings of internally displaced persons (IDPs), community management committees, local authorities and partners on the food voucher, distribution arrangements, and other relevant issues
•Assist in the implementation of the plans of action, review achievement and constraints, and provide feedback accordingly
•Assist the project staff and partners in encouraging and sensitizing public opinion on Protection issues and Rights focused activities
•Remain alert to identify and appropriately report any emerging FSFV issues
•Represent NRC in Sector and Cluster meetings in the Mogadisho Area
•Ensure that all documentation of the Project is promptly and correctly filled and archived as necessary
•Carry out weekly market price monitoring to determine market impacts
•Prepare weekly, biweekly and monthly reports and also assessment reports as appropriate
•Supervise, train and appraise the FSL Market Monitors.
