• To operate machinery and related equipment safely and efficiently as per Standard operating procedure.
• Authorizes or co-signs maintenance work requests. Checks and follows-up maintenance work of equipments in the unit.
• Inspects and tests fire fighting and personal protective equipments in accordance with the checklist provided.
• Analyze field log readings and reports any anomalies observed.
• To also perform duties as a stand by fireman or plant Safety Officer as and when required during fire emergencies, as per the Emergency Response Plan.
• Responsible of handling various types of emergencies like instrument air failure, steam failure, equipment’s failure, power failure, cooling water failure, to ensure that the plants are operated efficiently and safely.
• Suggest different operational modifications to optimize the plant operation, required at the unit, defending their operational requirement, feasibility, effectiveness and practicability.
• Adjust and regularly monitoring of plant operations, start-up / shutdown of various equipment / furnaces / pumps /exchangers / compressors etc, include various parameters to maintain equipment in synchronization.
• Writing shift reports which contains unit feed tank, feed rate, feed composition, process parameters, products rates and storage, chemical injections rate etc mechanical maintenance jobs instruments maintenance. Jobs, housekeeping jobs, maintaining PSV and car seal check records.
• Maintains, reinforces, and extends job skills through training and application of training. Shares knowledge and experience to support shift team goals. Coaches and mentors new hires and others.
• Plan dummy exercises to keep unit staff ready for any unseen emergency.
• Ensuring the proper Disposal of Hazardous and Non-Hazardous Wastes at their designated place.
• Perform any other work assigned by the immediate superior.
• Responsible of Hydrocarbon Loss Prevention in normal operation as well as in shutdown/start-up activities.
