Responsibilities:
• Management of multiple residential, commercial, mixed uses high-rise / horizontal building projects and the associated Infra-structures.
• Implement QMS procedures, Evaluate existing processes at site & apply necessary corrections, prepare adequate method statements, ITPs, check lists, etc. to improve the quality and progress at site.
• Planning and scheduling each project to ensure effective utilisation of manpower, materials and tools within and between the projects.
• Ensure achievement of project objectives within planned time and budget.
• Review of drawings & coordination of MEP & Architectural requirements
• Coordinate with in house/external technical/designer teams to resolve any found conflicts & to ensure availability of drawings per site priorities.
• Arrange meetings with execution team to discuss and resolve site issues and ensure achievement of planned schedules and look ahead schedules.
• Control project changes with minimal cost and schedule impacts.
• Submit quotations for all additional works and major changes
• Identify Quality/performance training needs of personals at site and arrange/prepare for periodic Training Programs.
• Coordinate with safety Engr. & ensure adequate HSE measures at site.
• Prepare the punch lists, Municipality approval (KMBR) requirements and project handing over requirements (like OMM, Warranty, T&C etc.) for smooth and timely closing-out of the project.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for the overall quality management of the given parcels in the KAFD Project, Riyadh. The main responsibilities includes but not limited to the following.
• Ensure the contractors have viable QMS in place and they are tracking the quality effectively.
• Review/comment on the contractor PQP, MS, ITPs, etc. w.r.to proj. specs. & relevant standards. Ensure proper implementation of the same at site. Supervise and monitor contractors compliance.
• Review /comment on contractors submittals (Materials, shop drawings, technical proposals, procedures, etc.) in coordination with the respective discipline seniors/heads
• Review of prequalification documents from subcontractor, suppliers, fabricators, independent testing labs, etc. and arrange/participate site/factory visits for auditing their facilities for compliance with the project requirements, ISO 9001and applicable/specified standards ( like ASTM, ACI, AWS, etc.)
• Manage inspections and tests of contractors work and make sure the quality of workmanship and materials meet contract requirements. Monitor the inspectors and give briefs as and when required to ensure the compliance of their inspection process with the project quality/spec/codes/standards
• Attend weekly meetings (with Clients/Contractor & Subcontractors/PMC) update the status and highlight current issues on which immediate attention is required.
• Participation in the weekly combined Site Walk for monitoring quality / progress and follow up for the rectification of the comments noted.
• Issuing, managing and tracking of NCRs and site observation notices on any found non conformance at site. Review/ comment/ provide assistance on contractors corrective and preventive action proposals. Closing out of the NCRs once the corrective action taken is found acceptable, inspected and approved.
• Conduct internal and external (2nd Party) quality audits as per ISO 9001and follow the NCR procedures on the found non-conformances if not complied within the allowable time.
• Ensure QHSE and Sustainability requirements are maintained throughout the project
• Ensure closing of the punch lists and availability of project handing over requirements (OMM, Warranty, testing & commissioning docs, etc.) in hand for smooth/timely closing-out of the project.
Review and approval of submittals from the contractors including shop drawings, materials, design calculations, PQP, ITP, method statements, etc.
Reply to the RFIs (Requests for Information), letters and memos from the contractors
Structural coordination of Architectural and MEP requirements.
Review and correction of design drawings prior to issue to the contractor.
Review of contract specifications and propose necessary amendments or additions when required.
Attend technical meetings with the main contractor and other package contractors
Raise queries to other specialist consultants / contractors to clarify any found disputes.
Site visits and preparation of site visit reports. Report any CNCRs (Consultants Non Conformance Report) found at site.
Arrange necessary technical meetings with contractors, Suppliers and other specialist consultants when required.
Developing and Implementing project quality control system including PQP, ITPs, method statements and various quality control procedures in line with ISO 9000.
Coordinating with consultant, QC inspector, H S E Officer, construction manager and sub-contractors to plan and implement quality control and reporting system effectively.
Ensuring the implementation of necessary non-conformance procedures. Suggesting corrective / preventive actions to any found non-conformity and verifying that the taken action is effective. Reporting to the Quality Manager the found major Non-conformities.
Coordinating with Document Controller to maintain records and datas as per the Quality System Procedures and to ensure regular updating of the same.
Performing the internal quality audit in coordination with the quality manager, recording the found non conformities and suggesting the suitable corrective action to be taken.
Controlling the used equipments and instruments supposed to be regularly calibrated as per calibration schedule.
Inspecting materials delivered to site in compliance with approved samples and documents.
Ensuring the materials, shop drawings, method statements and equipments are approved before commencement of the work.
Monitoring the work quality and arranging adequate inspection and testing required with respect to the specifications, standards and approved shop drawings.
Preparation and implementation of project quality control plan (with reference to company quality assurance system), discussing/confirming plans/drawings with the client’s representative, day to day inspection and monitoring of site and off-site activities, etc. to ensure the compliance of standard specifications and approved procedures and to achieve the planned progress with required work quality.
The project include construction of access roads, asphalt pavement below flow-line header, concrete pipe supports, heavy RCC pipeline anchors, construction of cable trays (power and communication cables), fences, gates, lighting system, other in-situ and pre-cast concrete works, etc.
Activities carried out by Construction Management Organization (CMO) Office were design of additional structures required by KSEB, update of drawings good for construction incorporating suggestions from KSEB, and to supervise, monitor and control the construction and quality control activities at the site to complete the construction of a high quality powerhouse within the shortest time possible and allocated budget.
As a Quality Control Engineer in the CMO office, I had the opportunity to handle successfully the following: Monitoring of all the construction and electro-mechanical erection works of the above project, modification of designs to suite the electro-mechanical requirements, quality control of concrete and other construction works, preparation of detailed monthly progress reports, preparation of as-built drawings, Quantity Surveying, Preparation of bar bending schedule, etc
Responsibilities include monitoring and day to day inspection of site and off-site activities, Maintaining all required quality records for materials and construction activities, Discussing/confirming plans/drawings with the client’s representative, Verification of work’s and material’s compliance with the standard specifications and approved procedures.
The work includes the design and construction of maintenance road and security fence (Palisade and chain-link) along the boundary of Ras Laffan industrial city (28 KM), construction of jetties at both ends to extend the fence in to the Sea, installation of card readers, turn styles, hydraulic barriers, road blockers, etc at the Gate Houses.
Site supervision and QC inspections for civil works of the above project; checking quality and reliability of materials and equipments; ensuring the quality, procedure and techniques involved in the construction activities; advising, coordinating and checking subcontract works; preparation, keeping records and management of QC documents, site queries, inspection requests, daily progress reports, etc.; conducting all necessary tests and keeping their records; quantity take off, ordering required materials and ensuring their procurement, etc.
The civil works of this project includes construction of asphalt roads, sub-station building, water and other pipelines, casting pipe supports and anchors, drainage and sewerage works, oil tank foundations, pump foundations, different equipment foundations, electrical and telephone cabling, concrete cable ducts, etc.
The project included construction of Ras Laffan Industrial City Main Gate House, associated roads, fences, hydraulic barriers, card readers, turn stiles, industrial area fence, port fence, etc.
As a Quality Control Inspector I was responsible for monitoring and ensuring the quality, procedure and techniques involved in the construction activities; checking quality and reliability of materials, equipments and other items used for the construction; preparation of Project Quality Control Plan, construction method statements, material submittals, material schedule, material status reports, etc to the clients satisfaction; keeping up to date records of site and off-site quality control inspection reports, certificates and test results; conducting all necessary tests and keeping records of them; inviting QGPC representative for inspection and getting their approval for all activities. Also involved in other works like quantity take off, preparation of weekly progress reports, etc.
Complete supervision and control of different types of building construction sites like multistoried shopping complexes, villas, houses, etc. Quantity surveying. Giving adequate instructions to the subordinates and workers. Checking the quality and quantity of works in progress with the given drawing specifications and all aspects of quality control for each and every items of the work starting from the initial setting out up to the final handover.
Supervision and coordination of works related to multistoried building projects. The responsibilities included quantity surveying, setting out of building alignments and plot boundaries, checking levels, verticality, alignment, dimensions and quality of each and every item of underground and super-structural constructions. Checking reinforcement bars, service connections; slump, temperature and type of concrete prior to concreting. Quality control of finishes like plastering, white washing, colour washing, painting, marble fixing, and terrazzo tile fixing etc. Supervision of piling site- cast-in-situ bored and under-reamed compaction piles (group pile foundations with groups of three to five piles are used for the multistoried buildings). Preparing and submitting detailed daily progress reports to the manager.
