Stationed at the Bio-Energy & Environmental Laboratory (BEEL) for water-energy-soil research:
-Managed lab/ field resources and activities for the Integrated Seawater Energy and Agriculture System (ISEAS) project aimed at developing sustainable aviation biofuels
-Supported PI in project management tasks towards successful assessment of seawater irrigation impact on candidate ISEAS site (fi ndings presented at two international conferences, and grant renewed annually)
-Developed and maintained BEEL online management platform
-Contributed an Op-Ed article on environmental research to UAE newspaper The National
Stationed at BEEL focusing on subsurface carbonate biomineralization phenomena in hypersaline coastal environments with implications on biomaterial engineering and CCS development:
-Developed laboratory setup and imaging technique to study the process, with fi ndings presented at two international conferences
-Represented Masdar Institute as an Ambassador during high-profi le visits and public/industry outreach events
For graduate-level course Applied Environmental Chemistry & Biotechnology:
-Co-instructed and mentored graduate students in laboratory and fi eld techniques for environmental monitoring
Medical Knowledge Engineer in the development team for a semantic engine-driven medical informatics platform:
-Constructed medical knowledge repositories for various domains
-Performed knowledge translation from natural language to a machine-readable language
In support of Projects Officer:
-Took part in client engagement, marketing for membership renewal, and event (workshops, conference) coordination tasks
