Guiding a team of Technical specialists to generate shop drawings for different services. Reviewing the
design drawings and comparing against the specifications and highlighting the discrepancies. Reviewing
complete material submittal prior to sending to consultant for approval. Providing complete technical details
to the site staff for easy and smooth execution
Provides support to project delivery teams by managing the resolution of engineering related issues and tasks.
Works with design reviewers to identify issues through the design review process and modify the design as per
site requirements
Works with project management teams to resolve issues / comments.
Conducting meetings with the contractors and the client’s representatives and defining the road map for the
completion of the project in a pre- defined target period.
Provide technical support for request for proposals, contracts, specifications, preliminaries and variations.
During the construction phase; review Engineering design submissions reports, calculations, cost estimates,
quantity surveys, drawings and specifications for conformance with the contract, scope and budget.
Assist in reviewing, approve and process all Engineering technical submittals. Review, on the client's behalf,
Submittals and Request for Information (RFI), method statements, As built drawings and O & M manuals, that
apply to Engineering works for adequacy.
Review sub-contractors' claims related to Engineering works and prepare recommendations for claims approval
or rejection.
Assist in negotiations with sub-contractors regarding the value of claims or changes in schedules.
Preparation and review of detailed electrical shop drawings prepared by the technical team.
Preparation and submission of deliverables to budget and programme constraints.
Production of equipment specifications, SLD, P&ID, drive schedules, cable design and routing, indoor lighting.
Liaison with manufacturers.
Interface with both in-house and client design and project teams.
Resolution of electrical problems on sites where necessary.
Scheduling the program prior to work and maintaining the site work uninterrupted.
Designing the lighting scheme (using different softwares) for different projects based on lux levels required.
Designing of LV panels, RMU, MDB, SMDB, DB, MCC and other panels.
Designing Lightning Protection Scheme (based on technical data like class and level of protection, no. of down
conductors, no. of Air terminals etc., given by manufacturers reports) for various projects
Preparing technical RFC based on Value Engineering offered on design.
Completing the site work according to planned schedule.
Coordinating various aspects of MEP works in accordance to the electrical equipments.
Preparing the shop drawings, load schedules, single line diagrams and obtaining approval from the consultants.
Writing technical and commercials letter to clients and consultants based on different service requirements.
Modifying the drawings (as per the site requirement) and getting approved.
In-charge for overseeing all electrical work
Ensure the electrical work carried out is as per approved shop drawing and within the time frame and progress of
the approved construction program.
Ensure that the installation, inspection and testing of all the electrical equipment, fittings and work implemented
meets the specification and the consultant requirements
Verify the accuracy of shop drawings and their compliance to the specification, consultant’s design and existing
local authority standard.
Capable to decide on day to day works that needs to be carried out by subordinates including: scheduling of
activities, assigning task to groups or individuals, accuracy of work conducted, supplying resources and dealing
with operational issues and problems.
Coordinate with other project personnel to ensure that deadlines, procedures, and other project requirements are
met.
