I was assigned to Rotating Equipment department, which is responsible for rectifying of the mechanical problems in various rotating equipment. The rotating equipment used in the company includes:
o Pumps
o Compressors
o Valves
o Fin fans
o Turbines
o Suet blowers, etc....
The rotating equipment such as:
1.Work Shop. This section is responsible for doing preventive and repairing maintenance work. The work is done by taking the equipment or a part of the equipment from the unit and transfer it to the work shop for repairing or replacement, But some times the repairing job also done in the unit. The workshop has a tool room, which has all the required tools to do the work in the correct way.
2.The Seal Room.
* The lapping machine.
* The polishing machine.
* The light band machine.
* The pressure test machine (PTM)
* The air tester.
3.The Monitoring Room.
There are three main computers in the monitoring room:
1. The compressors computer.
2. The critical pumps computer.
3. The other equipments computer.
