With more than twenty six years experience in Maintenance, Root cause analysis, preventive and Predictive maintenance (PPM), Installation, commissioning, calibration and Loop Testing, Digital & pneumatic instruments
Being the departmental Head Instrumentation & Control,
I was responsible for the management and implementation of engineering and maintenance policies, strategies and programe in accordance with company policies and procedures to ensure optimal plant production.
Preparing of annual budgets for the arrangements of spare parts for routine and annual turn around .
To manage the manpower resources for the scheduled and plant annual turnaround.
Plant production enhancement and to reduce the downtime minor & major capital projects, budget and cost control.
To arrange the HSE programmes for staff and engineers for safe operation and equipment safety, through proper trainings and awareness to the working group.
To Co-ordinate and direct the activities of the Field execution work group to ensure that the reliability and availability of plant systems and equipment maintenance as per international standards.
To ensure that the interfaces between the Field Execution, Condition Monitoring, Project Engineering, Operations and other support groups are seamless.
To prepare Five year budget plan and cost control plan for future work and submitting for approval from higher management in a timely manner
Strictly Implementation of cost control practices consistently with Company Policies.
Plant Maintenance:
Reviews plant equipment maintenance projections and schedules.
Ensures that equipment preventive maintenance programmes are implemented as per agreed schedule.
Monitors the effectiveness of the programmes, maintenance reworks and makes recommendations.
Ensures that proper standards, codes and practices are applied by technical personnel in the execution of field maintenance work. Acts as a technical resource and provides guidance in the development of inspection overhaul and repair procedures in accordance with accepted industry standards and practices.
Ensures the efficient use of all available resources, in house(departmental) and contractors in the execution of maintenance works on the plant.
To implements policies with respect to equipment long term planning end of life, repair and replacement actions.
To develop a system and maintaining the record of equipment information which allows an efficient and reliable source of historical and analytical data.
Monitors the use of the Hot/Cold work permit management system for routine and non&routine maintenance activities.
To prepare drawings, cable schedules, layout, cable load calculation, instrument schedules, etc.
Highly conversant with interpretation and understanding of international standards and codes of practice viz.
API, NEC ISO, ISA, OSHA, NFPA : Class I, II, III/Division I Division II, Safety standards etc
Materials Management:
Reviews the stock of critical spares (Bincards level)and inventory of materials, in relation to maintenance works scheduled and projects and makes recommendations.
Turnaround / Outage Management: Direct maintenance activities in abnormal situations, unplanned shutdowns and equipment breakdowns.
To Provide technical support to secure minimum downtime in both planned and unplanned shutdowns.
Manage turnaround jobs in accordance with the schedule and budget.
Monitor execution of turnarounds jobs to ensure that general HSE, Quality and production targets are achieved.
Responsible for all Company assets and operations of the facility while on duty.
Responsible for maintaining a consistent line of communication with all Plant personnel on all matters relative to the Field Execution function or changes in related Company Policy.
Department monthly/weekly reporting and special reports as requested by the competent authority.Capable to lead a job independently by efficient multi-disciplinary co- ordination .
