Position: Assistant Resident Engineer (ARE)
I joined Lahore Safe City Project during execution phase. Main focus to plan day to day activities and execute site construction processes as per plan. Efficient use of team resources to fast track the project. Monitor and control quality as per agreed specifications and standards. Relocation of camera poles sites in case of any services issues found to the best possible location to deliver in time. Supervise more than 8000 security cameras foundations and all material testing related to project within agreed scope and time constraints. Roles and Responsibilities: • Report to the Sr. Resident Engineer. • Responsible for analyzing the feasibility of the camera poles (IPNV, VMS, RLMS, JTMS, and IPOLES) based on best suitable locations. • Assist in making any changes to the construction design to make the project more feasible and eco-friendly. • Assist in checking the quality standards of the project and ensure that none of the environment regulations are violated. • Monitor and inspection of site works including layout, materials being used as per approved material sheets to ensure compliance with applicable specifications and approved QA/QC standards. Inspection of all steel bar bending schedule prior to Fabrication and concrete for foundation. • Monitor overall project activities, expenditures and progress towards achieving the project output and the sustainability of the project’s results. • Suggest strategies to the Resident Engineer (RE) for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the project by identifying bottlenecks in completing project activities and developing plans to minimize or eliminate such bottlenecks. • Assisting management and technical specialists in developing work plans. Monitoring and following up progress on various proposals, meetings, reports, working papers with concerned authorities • Facilitate and coordinate with 3rd party inspector / technician for reports to conducted material sampling and site testing. Coordinate and assist data control inspector for all scheduled inspection such as manhole installation, duct banks and quality control inspecting for all concrete foundations. • Conduct Site Acceptance Test with contractors, client and third parties. • Assist in maintenance of the project, getting required approvals and timely completion of project.
