• Provides financial analysis to managers, journal entries, reconcile general ledgers and other related accounts.
• Ensures compliance with internal controls, policies and procedures in day-to-day conduct and supervision of cash/credit management activities.
• Assist in managing and maintaining company’s bank and supplier’s relationships.
• Supports treasury, cash and credit management operations and develop strategies.
• Communicate with internal customers on outstanding issues, problems and concerns.
• Co-ordinates with internal and external audits to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manages aspects of risk through accounting, audit, planning and treasury functions.
• Manages appropriate procedures around month-end and quarter-close activity.
• Review treasury policies procedures, ensuring that they are implemented through light operational practices and systems of work.
• Co-ordinate with other accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash, financial reporting, fixed assets, payroll, tax and general ledger.
• Ensures accounting of all expenses related to hypermarkets assigned to my team e.g. store maintenance, staff accommodation and logistics.
• Assists in preparation of monthly payroll includes preparations of staff deductions, payments and overtimes, monthly, mid-yearly and yearly closing and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and inter-company balances.
• Processing of purchase invoices, matching relevant delivery dockets & posting to ledger.
• Ensure that invoices are coded correctly and approved with the delegation of authority.
• Collaborate with procurement team to initiate order processing.
• Setup invoices for payment and ensure any discount opportunities are realized.
• Ensures that all the necessary documents are completed and approved before payments are executed.
• Processing unconfirmed delivery report and liaising with warehouse on weekly basis.
• Processing information for yearly stock take when warehouse count is finished.
• Monthly supervising stock take with sales staff of hypermarket and minimarket and investigating if pilferage is more than threshold limit in the stores.
