- Liaise with the Communications Officer to develop talking points, media plans and public and private communications.
- Liaise and collaborate with relevant local and national authorities and stakeholders and represent NRC in relevant forums/cluster/working groups as requested.
- Update and analyse program information and statistics to support advocacy and media outreach;
- Be the team focal point for advocacy on issues relating to protection and access within NRC’s Yemen country program.
- Support NRC Yemen’s overall advocacy and policy activities covering all locations in Yemen
- Represent NRC at advocacy coordination forums.
- Work with NRC’s partner organizations to identify advocacy needs and support them to develop approaches to addressing these.
- Work in close coordination with the Advocacy Adviser, Access Adviser and field offices to undertake policy analysis, develop information products and develop strategies to help influence change.
- Prepare and regularly update analysis, updates, key messages, talking points and briefing materials by gaining a wide familiarity with policy debates regarding Yemen as relevant to NRC.
- Working in close collaboration with the Advocacy Adviser to identify factors driving humanitarian needs in Yemen and barriers to addressing them for strategic advocacy.
- Prepare high-quality reports, briefings, letters, and other materials for internal and external use, and take part in NRC’s representational and advocacy role.
- Act as a focal point for policy/advocacy components of project proposals, budgets and reporting to donors.
- Acting as head of the Communication and Advocacy department during Adviser absence.
- Be the overall responsible person for supervising distribution of food assistance (voucher, cash or in-kind).
- Supervise the beneficiaries’ selection and verification process as per the selection criteria.
- Ensure capacity building of project assistants and transfer key skills
- Liaise and collaborate with relevant local authorities and other key stakeholders.
- Line management of FS assistant and monitors.
- Develop timely and detailed monthly implementation plan of activities.
- Manage data entry and analysis as required.
- In liaison with the logistic department to oversee logistical planning for project activities.
- Ensure distribution teams compliance with all NRC administrative and operational procedures and policies.
- Review achievements and constraints, assist in the formulation of the plan of and provide feedback accordingly.
- Actively monitor on the on-going security environment within the operational area.
- In collaboration with M&E, ensure that all FS projects activities are monitored regularly.

- Develops monthly work plans and ensures that planned targets and indicators are met
- Oversees the timely planning and implementation of youth programs in the governorate in accordance with project objectives, activities and targets
- Conducts outreach to relevant stakeholders (youth, schools, local businesses, community-based organizations and governmental institutions) on a regular basis
- Trains, monitors and mentors youth participating in the project
- Designs and delivers youth civic engagement and life skills curriculum

youth mentorship and other activities
- Provide technical advice and assistance to relevant project volunteers and other cooperating parties; attends and monitors activities implemented by partners
- Submits weekly, monthly and event reports to Program Manager
- Coordinates information sharing and public relations activities at the governorate level by initiating and facilitating project visits by donors, journalists and local authorities and by actively promoting and representing

- Seeks and informs Program Manager of fundraising opportunities (local or international) that can enhance the program.
- Develops and monitors monthly program budget for activities specific to the governorate
- Coordinates with finance and logistics staff for purchases and maintenance; complies with internal and donor
finance and procurement procedures
- Provides logistical and administrative support to all educational activities in the governorate.
