• Support Discipline Lead with operational responsibilities.
• Contribute to preparation of bids.
• Manage the design team throughout the design stages.
• Responsible for key design input at early design phases and for general design leadership during the course of the project.
• Contribute from the onset of a project, to the design of innovative and progressive design solutions that reconcile SSH and clients goals and priorities while fostering opportunities for design excellence.
• Make appropriate value judgements with respect to corrective work that supports the design concept and performance goals of the project.
• Perform and direct material and building systems research and participate in the coordination and preparation of project specifications.
• Set an example of leadership among team leaders.
• Participate in marketing and business development.
• Act as the clients point of contact for design related issues.
• Act as the projects design coordinator and contributes (fully or partially) to the overall design management activities.
• Conduct performance evaluation reviews to subordinate (junior) team members.
• Take initiatives to develop design manuals, standard design documents, presentations, etc. to increase efficiencies, knowledge and awareness across the wider engineering community

- Personally verify the corrections and absolute accuracy of own and others work prior to review by the senior level Engineer.
- Organize own and others work to achieve set deadlines.
- Lead pro-active coordination with internal and external design disciplines to achieve a high quality, consistent set of design documents or presentation.
- Proactively check and coordinate project documents (including but not limited to multi-disciplinary drawings, design reports, design calculations, technical specifications, bills of quantities, etc.) and ensure the highest quality standards are met.
- Attend Client meetings and workshops.
- Confidently present work to colleagues, clients and stakeholders.
- Provide technical support to site supervision teams and resolve design related issues on site.

- Creative design to fulfill clients’ project needs.
- Oversee specialists’ process with material manufacturing, and supervise the quality check of
products.
