Job Description / Responsibilities:
• Leading the implementation of Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Management Systems.
• Contributing to Developing HSE Plans and reviewing of Risk Assessments (RA) as per project/client
requirement
• Monitoring & ensuring timely submission of Weekly & Monthly Progressive Safety Reports (Equipment
Log Sheet, Lost Time Injury & any other HS concern) to the Client, Project Manager and Head Office.
• Providing support in Internal/External Audits & evaluating the compliance with Safety Management
Plans & Systems
• Analyzing requirement and conducting formal demonstrations and emergencies mock drills on safety
related matters on site.
• Inspect street lighting installation, Electrical works, Portable water works, CRA Networks and Micro-
tunneling shaft.
• Ensuring training are conducted as per the prepared matrix and review for improvement when and
where necessary.
• Engaging in site inspection with the consultant and conducting safety tour with the project
management as per schedule.
• Creating daily safety talk lessons (TBT) to all employees and conducting routine Safety Inspection
• Investigating the incident/accident with proper corrective measures. Also, preparing safety alert and
awareness training for employees in other to prevent future reoccurrence.
• Receive work pack (work permits) and review, then approve if all attachment is correct and
Examining completion of work and maintain a permit register.
• Issue job number, permits number and identify high /low Risk
• Ensure Provision of site access and traffic management, in coordination with traffic
coordinator/supervisor.
• Prepare and update health and safety file
• Maintaining periodic inspection of workers accommodation and inspection of all workers welfare
facilities.
• Performs other duties as required
Assisting the Project Manager in implementing the guidelines given by Lusail Real Estate Development Project
Inspect the work site daily to report and correct unsafe methods and conditions. Making on-the-spot corrections of unsafe acts of the workmen and taking suitable steps to eliminate all the unsafe conditions. Give an inspection report to the Project Manager every day and a copy to head office HSEM.
Monitor the execution of HSE activities on the project to ensure HSE requirements are met as per the Project HSE plan, HSEMS requirement, LREDP Procedure, QCS 2014, and OHSAS 18001:2007.
Monitor timely reporting of project HSE performance, drive internal and external audit for project. Ensure achievement of HSE goals on project.
Organizing the inspection of ladders, power tools and machinery on a regular basis.
Keep a permanent record of all injuries, fires, property damage and crane/ heavy equipment accidents, which have occurred at the site.
Conducting monthly safety meeting and keeping record of safety meeting on site complete with subject discussed and a list of attendees.
Ensure adequate fire and safety equipment and PPEs are available at the work site and used by workforce.
Ensure all operatives have undergone site safety induction and are aware of all site safety rules.
Monitor all lifting equipment and accessories/ tackles are certified and have a valid color code.
Advise on the effectiveness and issue of the personal protective equipment and encourage / enforce use on site.
Ensure Permits to Work are available and related conditions are being continuously implemented.
Ensure continuous safety watch is provided in hazardous areas and works categorized as hazardous.
Attend safety and operational meetings and conduct safety tool box meetings.
Ensure Safety Bulletins are updated and posted at prominent places.
Prepare and submit weekly and monthly safety reports.
Ensure accidents and near miss incidents are reported promptly and investigations are done and recorded in case of an accident or near miss incident.
Encourage the workers to follow the safe working procedures.
Initiate and nominate workers for safety awards.
Training, coaching and performing safety observation tours at Office, Sites, Stores, Nursery, Labor Accommodation based on OHSAS 18001:2007 and ISO 14001:2004 requirements.
Developing and implementing work practices/ programs to enhance employee safety performance at all Sidra Agriculture Company premises.
Providing input and / or developing or updating Safety Procedures/ Rules as per QCS 2014
Facilitating and/ or assisting Management Team and employees in complying with all safety/ environmental policies and procedures through training, auditing, assisting with safety committees, tool box meetings, incident investigations and corrective action follow-up.
To ensure that the site health, security and environmental requirements are complied with.
To report all health , safety , security and environmental issues to the H&S project Director/Project Manager
To supervise, assign tasks and follow up on the safety supervisors.
To liaise with Main and Sub-contractors’ safety officer on site matters.
To prepare H&S reports and other documentations as and when required.
To carry out accident /incident investigations individually or as part of a team as and when required.
To issue safety Violations Notices (SVN’s) and other Non-Compliance notices and fines.
To attend health, safety and environmental meetings as requested by Project Manager.
To be fully aware of site health, safety, security and environmental requirements.
To provide safety inductions to employees and visitors.
Comply with the company’s health and safety policy. Ensure that pedestrians have watchman at all times. To carry out accident /incident investigations individually or as part of a team as and when required. Prepare and submit weekly and monthly safety reports. To ensure fire safety requirements are complied on project in accordance to Civil Defense. Communicate customer requests, feedback and to endorse to airport during safety meeting. Promote Road Safety. Carry Out Risk Assessment. Handle PPE of employees on car park. Handle Roadway Regulatory Signs.
