- Monitor compliance of rigs with the company and Aramco environmental regulations.
- Conduct environmental site inspections for onshore & offshore rigs to evaluate the compliance with environmental regulations (e.g., schedule D). Inspection aspects: documentations, fuel, air, water, wastewater, wastes, spill prevention, chemicals store, noise. Record inspection results in a report.
- Involve in preparation of Pre-Commencement inspections (PCI) and rectifying non-compliances.
- Maintain rigs reporting of water & fuel consumptions, and wastes data for quarters statistics.
- Monitor hazardous & nonhazardous waste management of collection, transportation, manifesting, and disposal as per local regulations. Evaluate chances to increase wastes recycling and profiting.
- Introduced onboard wastes segregation & recycling program for offshore rigs.
- Familiarized with Aramco environmental standards such as SAES, HSERM, SAEHC … etc.
- Conduct noise survey on site, find noise hazard areas, and create the noise map & report.
In charge of industrial wastewater project (Spent Caustic treatment plant): JUBAIL, SAUDI ARABIA
- Review the engineering documents provided by the consultant/engineering company including process, civil, mechanical, instrumentation, piping, safety ... etc.
- Ensure that the plant is constructed according to the engineering documents such as PFD, P&ID,
piping isometrics, plot plans, 3D, issued for construction drawings, datasheets ... etc.
- Monitor the site works of the contractors. Discuss and solve site issues with the contractors.
- Contact and meet vendors technically & commercially to procure sub-units, equipment,
instruments, and others as per the documents. E.g. Involved in purchasing of neutralization unit,
evaporator unit, coalescer, pumps, instruments. Use SAP for procurement per company system.
- Make milestone scheduling and finance plans of the project. Record and deliver project issues to
management. Meet highest management and Chairman of the company and holding group.
- Conduct technical meetings with the manager and engineers to make decisions for the scopes that that are outside of the battery limit of the engineering company such as utilities.
- Work with a team of engineers of all disciplines to achieve the projectobjectives. Coordinate and
distribute the project assignments for engineers, purchasing, accountant, store, clearance … etc.
- Meet major clients such as SABIC and Aramco. Make presentations about the project.
- Gained good knowledge of Royal commission Environmental regulations, and EPC-EPO forms.
Worked with the Central Maintenance Department (CMD) as a contractor in SABIC (Sharq).
Involved in civil and mechanical projects. Got familiarized to petrochemical industry environment & safety regulations.
Worked on establishing a laboratory, optimizing the production process of perfumes and establishing a quality inspection system based on iso 2859-1.
- Got the second honor grade My cumulative GPA 3.46/4 My major GPA is 3.62/4 - Elective Chemical Engineering Courses: Polymer Technology (CHE462), Catalysis and Catalytic Processes (CHE440), and Biochemical Engineering (CHE 449). - Short Courses (10 hours each): oil, gas and petroleum industry, effective presentation skills, nanotechnology, and entrepreneurship. - Senior Project Award: My team won two awards for the 2nd best senior design project, one by SABIC and another by SAS-AIChE. My team was composed of 5 students and we got the 2nd place in 2015. I was the leader of the team and responsible for the design of the distillation column. The project was designing a plant for the production of drying oil.
Exchange program for one semester ( Fall 2013) This experience improved my English language and familiarized me with a culture of individuals with different nationalities and backgrounds which is a feature most companies seek in their employees since they have a similar culture.
