Primary job is to provide Oracle Applications with high performance and high availability to the organization, with which the management can enhance their production efficiency and achieve their goals and vision.
Responsibilities:
• Implementation of Oracle E-Business R12. Installation, Configuration, Data protections, Performance tuning, Patching, Cloning and Upgrade. High Availability using ODA and DG.
• Provide consulting services on HW enhancements, Storage sizing, Virtualization, Backup Solutions.
• Perform routine administration and maintenance on Database, WebLogic, E-Business.
• Work with Oracle support to resolve any functional and technical issues. Provide Oracle’s best practices on Oracle products.
• Provide consulting for data centre maintenance and safety.
Achievements:
• Performed Oracle Applications upgrade from R12.1 to R12.1.3
• Migrated Oracle Applications Database from standalone servers to 2 nodes RAC on ODA servers.
• Configured single node DR site.
• Integrated CommVault Simpana backup solutions and provided automation for cloning activities.
• Developed innovative solutions like extracting daily exchange rate from External website and integrate it with Oracle Applications.
• Installed and configured Discoverer 11g, Oracle ADF 11g and Oracle Business Intelligence 11g with Oracle Applications to generate managerial report from enterprise data.
• Integrated Oracle E-Business mobile app with R12.1.3 Oracle applications.
• Integrated third party application for handling weighbridge automation with Oracle Applications.
I worked in Oracle Applications Central Release team as a Senior Apps DBA involved in Oracle Apps R12 release.
Later i moved to Oracle SSI, an offshore consulting organization, mainly into Oracle Application products and Oracle acquired products, as a Senior Consultant. Worked in various project from installations, configurations and support.
As Associate Software Engineer, in British Telecom’s Data Warehousing project, my responsibilities are,
Responsibilities:
• Created pl/sql APIs to extract the required data in the expected forms, from various data source.
• Developed OWB (Oracle Warehouse Builder) mappings to extract the required data through APIs then transformed into information and then loaded the cleaned information into the repository.
