• Identify and screen potential investment opportunities in the regional equity markets and present recommendations and plans of action for investment to the Asset Management team. Interface with the sell side research analysts to screen investment ideas.
• Forecast and assess the impact of any legislative and or macro changes on both, economic environment and major sectors in GCC region. Assess investment opportunities by keeping abreast of current economic trends.
• Prepare industry and company specific reports on GCC listed / or potentially listed companies using all applicable analysis techniques (DCF, DDM, Comparable valuations etc). Develop relative valuation tools.
• Prepare periodical strategy notes in response to corporate earnings, macro developments and industry trends.
• Provide fundamental/statistical analysis that may be required by the Portfolio Manager.
• Provide required support to the Portfolio Manager on making buy/sell, overvalued/undervalued decisions on all underlying portfolio assets. Participate in periodic meetings to communicate the overall statistics for the underlying securities.
• Participate in structuring and maintaining an up to date database of focus companies listed in GCC markets.
• Attend conferences and industry wide events to meet with management teams and to source new investment ideas. Maintain an extensive information network consisting of company managements and other industry specialists and sell side research analysts.
