Responsibilities:
Reports to the Area Manager, leads a team of 5 engineers & 3 supervisors, to handle the PMO- project management office, offer technical consultancy & professional services to plan, schedule, design, estimate, & execute MEP projects as per project objectives & set key performance indices
Sets & manages project budget & maps project plans to meet technical & commercial requirements
Prepares scope of work, BOQ, WBS, & tender documents; also evaluates subcontractors & bidders
Assigns individual tasks within the team and manages their time & scope to complete activities within agreed timelines
Shortlists, selects suppliers & products, negotiates contract with suppliers for related services in consultation with the contracts unit to prepare/ renew contracts
Handles procurement processes right from steps to recognize product needs, review, requisition, approve budget & issue purchase order invoice to procure electro-mechanical materials as per project specifications
Reviews concept/ final design, specifications for HV, LV, & ELV systems, & checks shop drawing, in addition to construction technical documents in MEP project management department
Supervises project management & allocates project resources such as manpower, equipment, & materials
Coordinates with client, consultant, & contractors to complete MEP projects from tendering stage to handover
Liaises on regular basis with local authorities like Municipalities, ADDC, & Civil Defence
Holds accountability to evaluate monthly payments certificate for contractors as per company policy
