Senior MEP Estimation Engineer
Undertake estimates in accordance with Company procedures
Lead team of estimators for larger tenders, mentoring and developing junior estimators
Identify opportunity and risk during tender process
Maintain register of key assumptions within estimate
Maintain tender estimate file
As lead estimator, manages the estimating team in the assembly and submission of bids.
Preparation of cost estimate for design and built project
Preparation of value engineering cost estimate
Review Company jobs and compare on a timely basis to as-sold estimates to confirm accuracy of estimate
Ensuring completion of MEP assignments like Estimation and Costing within time and budgetary parameters
• Managing on-site activities to ensure completion of project within the time & cost parameters and effective resource
utilization to maximize output
• Planning material and developing vendors for obtaining timely procurement of materials & equipment at cost effective
prices to ensure smooth execution of project
• Preparing annual maintenance budget and monitoring general repairs such as safety system for all equipment
• Directing and motivating workforce as well as imparting continuous on job training for accomplishing greater
operational efficiency
Key Result Area:
• Preparation of Evaluation of Tender / Contract documents and Bill of Quantities
• Preparation of Preliminary estimation, Budget estimation, detailed estimation (With Rate Analysis).
• Sending enquiries and obtaining prices, analyse prices, prepare material and labour cost estimation and bid price
• Conducting negotiations, Identification of cost or pricing data submitted during the negotiations and relied upon in
reaching a settlement
• Quantification of Variations as per revised drawings / specification and follow-up with Main Contracts / Project
Managers for Site Work Instruction (SWI)
• Pricing of Variation claims, evaluation with Main Contractors / Project Managers and Finalization of Variation Orders
(VO)
