Main Responsibility
• Contribute to Ducab business overall strategy
• Prepare business plans, annual budgets and management reports for review by the Managment
• Oversee and manage the operations of the high voltage system contracts
• managing the order process from receipt of order review through to invoicing
• Coordinating the activities of factory, external suppliers and site work
• Negotiate and secure competitive, compliant offers from the contractors and material suppliers.
• Manage the input to the tender process, with respect to all aspects to provide an overall competitive bid.
• Manage the interface with the internal departments and work together to secure targeted orders.
• Overall functional control of installation of high voltage cable system projects through the Site Manager, Engineers & Supervisors
• Coordinate and review the commercial, installation and technical offers for the high voltage cable tenders.
• monitor the delivery and the installation of cable & accessories and process the invoicing on time to insure the cash flow
• Seeking out and identifying new business opportunities in other countries
• Provide services and technical support to all the clients, Contractors & utilities
• Provide timely and appropriate response to customer queries/complaints to meet their expectations.
• investigate and determine root cause of manufacturer defect, implement corrective actions and preventive actions for all customer complaints through sales, logistics, Manufacturing and testing to ensure satisfactory close out.
• Co-ordinate the information from internal departments sources (through the reports from all concerned department/stakeholders) to provide balanced technical reports to queries and complaints.
• Assistance to field/site testing (including cable fault location) and witness them to all customers.
• Conduct trials and new product development for the power cable accessories of local UAE market & Proto type products.
• Arrange and deliver training courses and prepare course & validity certificates to customers to support sales of cable systems
Main Responsibility
• Scheduling weekly jobs in coordination with other sections and departments in order to complete work programs
-11kv / 33kv cable installation / relocation (underground cable networks)
-installation & commissioning of Transformer, switch gear (RMU), kiosk
-Additional or replacement of transformer (power up-rating)
-Substation disconnection / recovery of equipments
-6.6, 11kv, 33kv cable joint / Termination
-system voltage conversion (6.6 to 11kv)
-system modification (over load)
-Preventive substation maintenance
• Supervision of work execution carried out departmentally and Contractors
• Check the work completion certificate of the contractors for release of payment.
• Submitting weekly/monthly work progress report to Project Manager.
• Review the contracts prepared by contracts& tendering section to ensure quality work execution
• Attend inspection of material, local & overseas to ensure quality.
• Conduct test for contractor’s cable jointers to ensure quality work and issue suitability license.
• Attend meetings to resolve work related issues.
• Study & recommend revision, comments on cables & accessories under supply contracts to ensure suitability of items.
• Study Manufacturers instruction manuals of cable joints and termination in order to guide the stuff to perform quality work.
• Coordinating with cable testing section for cable fault identification & rectification
• Negotiating with materials and tools suppliers in order to obtain best quality and latest technology.
• Assisting CEO to prepare the Annual budget (Manpower, cable joints kits, tools)
• Perform periodic jobsite OH & safety inspections, audits and prepare reports.
• provide tool box talk for site stuff
