The Company is the market leader in Branded products and is the distribution and manufacturing organization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Directing supply chain operations, providing leadership for establishing proper inventory control measures and keeping close tabs on applicable logistics, delivery plans, market trends and prices.
• Planning and organizing inventory considering sales requirements and optimal stock levels, evaluating purchasing activities and maintaining uninterrupted flow of materials to support sales schedules.
• Handling the entire purchase order cycle encompassing processing orders, issuing order confirmations, and placing purchase orders. Reviewing purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy.
• Scrutinizing the stock available in warehouses, verifying containers at the port of discharge, in transit, and port of origin.
• Establishing key performances metrics and benchmarks related to supply chain planning and forecasting. Providing analytical support for projects, new business opportunities and proposals.
• Monitoring the contract compliance of carriers and other logistics service providers. Coordinating delivery schedules and other supply chain activities.
• Liaising with suppliers, warehouse and shipping lines to ensure smooth execution of inbound/outbound shipping activities within the scheduled deadline.
• Negotiating long term relationships with key suppliers, maintaining purchase requests for general items of the organization, targeting best quality, prices, payment term, and delivery period.
• Establishing clear procurement policies and procedures to guide supply chain management towards long-term business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Managed the day to day responsibilities of department and ensured that performance and quality standards are maintained within internal service levels.
• Accountable for handling the whole gamut of purchase orders, preparing commercial invoices while ensuring strict compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
• Developed and evaluated the department goals, budgets, policies and procedures, and provided expertise to the supply chain management team to achieve organizational objectives.
• Examined various documents including invoices, bills of lading, shipping statements, receipts, and documentation of cargo. Ensured shipment tracking reports are updated accurately and on time.
• Established, monitored and reviewed sales targets for the relevant commercial department.
• Managed and developed staff within the department to achieve departmental and personal goals.
• Finalized the terms and conditions of the main contract, including contract price, performance bond, advance payments etc.

• Monitored levels of high cost, slow moving, and low shelf life stocks. Assessed inventory movement to determine appropriateness of purchase actions, and identified newer sources of supply.
• Negotiated with suppliers, reviewed price list agreements/contracts, maintained sound relationships to source products from economically viable sources.
• Maintained cordial relations with clients, ensuring prompt attendance to queries for balances/order status, resolved complaints to ensure optimal levels of service and long term business relations.
• Scrutinized inventory movement to determine appropriateness of purchasing actions. Submitted monthly purchasing stock report to upper management, to effect speedy decisions.
