• Responsible for the end-to-end Security planning, design,
and implementation of Du's Digital Transformation project
• Conduct security assessments of existing and new
compontents in scope of digital transformation
• Build the appropriate security controls in accordance with
business objectives and exposure factor of vulnerabilities in
the Telecom/IT network
• Develop security designs based on the security
assessments of services provided over the Telecom/IT
infrastructure
• Evaluate various options for security solutions and
strategies to reduce the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and
maintain a low OPEX
Working as part of the Computer Emergency Response Team for the UAE (aeCERT) as Team Lead for Incident Response
• Understand the policies, standards and guidelines appropriate to the Monitoring, Incident Handling & Response business, technology and legal requirements and in accordance with aeCERT and TRA policies and procedures;
• Assure the security of the aeCERT Networks and Systems Infrastructure;
• Perform related duties as required by the Manager Operations to meet the needs of the department and aeCERT;
• Supervise the Monitoring, Incident Handling & Response services based on aeCERT Threat Management System (TMS);
• Assess real time visualization of Global & Local threat trends & statistics;
• Determine what additional skills need to be brought in to the team to ensure the response programme runs effectively and efficiently
• Experience in security device management and SIEM
• In-depth knowledge of security concepts such as cyber-attacks and techniques, threat vectors, risk management, incident management etc.
• Experience in threat management
• Knowledge of various operating system flavors including but not limited to Windows, Linux, Unix
• Knowledge of applications, databases, middleware to address security threats against the same.
• Proficient in preparation of reports, dashboards and documentation
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Experience in performing vendor management
• Identify and implement improvements to technical processes and toolsets to improve resource and cost efficiency
• Supervise and follow-up incidents as part of the CSIRT team as required (in line with aeCERT SLTs);
• Guarantee the Issuance of threat mitigation advice as required and in line with aeCERT SLTs;
• Offer countermeasure advice where appropriate;
• Lead the investigation and resolution of security incidents, root cause analysis and service improvements
Working as a part of the Computer Emergency Response Team for the UAE (aeCERT) in Incident Handling
• Organized UAE CyberDrill 2018 in the goals of ensuring Government entities are equipped skills necessary and raising the UAE's stance in the Global CyberSecurity Index (ITU-D)
• Overlook the implementation of various projects from planning to deployment
• Lead the team by organizing tasks and assisting new joiners to learn and adapt to the environment
• Perform Digital Forensics Investigations and Analysis using aeCERT DFL tools and software
• Conduct real-time visualization of Global & Local threat trends & statistics Investigates Cyber incidents related to government entities
• Compile and validate statistical incident and threat data to the Security Operations Manager
• Provide a Monitoring & Response service based on aeCERT Threat Management System (TMS)
