• Perform testing, maintenance and repair of high and low voltage substation equipment including high voltage transformers and regulators, load tap changers, potential and current transformers, line tuners and traps, high voltage circuit breakers and switchgear, battery and charger systems, telemeter equipment, capacitor controls, emergency generators, disconnect switches, direct current supply systems, supervisory control and data acquisition equipment, air-conditioning systems and auxiliaries, safety and fire systems and yard/street lighting controls. Perform troubleshooting of high voltage substation equipment independently, if assigned by the Unit Head, if the experience is considered sufficient.
• Review and analyze own test results and that of lower level technicians when acting as crew leader during maintenance.
