• Assist in accident investigations. Conduct follow up on 'near miss' reports, unsafe acts and unsafe equipment.
• Daily site walk-through i.e. observing unsafe acts and conditions, incl. Field Notes to HSE Engineer.
• Implement training courses for new recruits - Safe working practice, Scaffolding hazards, Fire Safety, Safe aspects of Excavating and Barricading, Site housekeeping, Safe Storage, Walkways, and Escape Routes.
• Track & Ensure that protective and safety devices are in good condition and are used correctly when needed.
• Performs Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
• Ensures that the Personal Protective Equipments (PPE’s) are adequate for work and are in good condition.
• Organize and participate in regular safety drills, meetings and crew audits and inspections.
• Establish emergency procedures and evacuation plans, assist in implementation.
• Monitor Permit-to-Work.
