Very brief & pointwise description of my 29 (27 years in GCC) years of total experience can be summarized as under:

Contracts:
# Anticipation and identification of legal and contractual issues of concerns and notifying top management, GM, Operations and Bidding Teams about the estimated risks and proactively advising, identifying and developing mitigation strategies for inherent risks in contract agreements, JVs, NDAs to be signed with clients/employers.
# Developing company templates for Subcontract Agreements for general and Special Conditions, Work Orders, Purchase Orders, Letter of awards, Letter of Intent. Making strategies and devising instruments for transferring liabilities on to design offices, subcontractors, suppliers and insurers.
# Actively contributing, Reviewing, amending, Advising, Negotiating, drafting and Executing all Subcontracts especially complex and high value subcontracts and Contracts with client/employers.
# Advising to Finance & Administration function on matters of Payment Terms, Terms of Letter of Credit (LC), Insurances, Bonds, Bank Guarantees, & Warranties; Taxations, Customs, import and customs laws, employment/labour law issues, and on aspects of Government Tendering and Procurement law (GTPL) in the light of laws & regulations of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, GCC and other countries.
# Familiar with FIDIC, bespoke forms of contract

Legal Assistance:
# Training the operations department to keep collecting substantiation and documentary proofs in light of signed contract(s) for claims, Variations, Back charges in order to proactively keep ready the case in case of eventuality under agreed contractual clauses and collecting documentary substantiation.
# Dispute identification, negotiation for dispute resolution, dispute mediation and dispute Arbitration and Issuing notice of unresolved dispute(s).
#Engaging third party claim consultants or legal consultants, Furnishing them with project records and data,
#Preparing case summary for legal department, Substantiation of claims or counter claim, making the legal team understand strengths and weaknesses of the case. Following up the case with legal team.
#Liaison (direct or Indirect) with court appointed Arbitrators and Engineering Consultants. Submitting the required substantiation, Assisting legal team.
# Familiar with Shariah law, Saudi Commercial Court of Arbitration (SCCA), Saudi Commercial Court, Dubai Courts, UNCITRAL and ICC rules.


Cost Control, Claims, Back Charges & Project Control :
# Setting up baseline(s) for project(s); continual monitoring and taking timely actions to ensure the overall project health to stay within budget and time, also adapting change management to illustrate the effects on scope, cost, or schedule. Preparation of budget and cashflow exercises for new and/or ongoing projects.
# Reviewing; Verifying, Preparation of Payments, Variations, Claims from the Subcontractors and to the client/employer.
# Project Claims (Cause & Effect Based) related to Time & Cost, Extension of Time (EOT) Claims, Disruption Claims & Acceleration Claims. Attending Negotiations with the Consultants for Variations, Claims, Interim/Final Payments etc.
