Acting as Finance Manager of the company, I am handling financial matters reporting to Managing Partner and Group Chief Operating Officer and liaising with group finance department for financial reporting. My role includes following duties;

• Handling financial issues of the company related treasury and cash flow management
• Coordination with group finance for funding requirements of the joint venture as per agreement
• Preparing annual budgets, forecasts and variance reports
• Supervising the Implementation of in-house ERP system for the company as per DI group.
• Prepared authority matrix as per DI’s SOPs for finance, purchases and sales functions
• Finalizing and submitting monthly, quarterly and annual MIS report for consolidation on group level
• Coordinating sales and purchase dept. for costing and arriving at selling prices and preparing sales budget
• Liaison with external auditors, internal auditors and risk assessment consultants
• Supervising team of three people and support staff.

Currently working in HeadLinks Dubai, U.A.E office as Finance Manager and handling all treasury functions, working capital requirements and handling accounts section under supervision of GM. My duties include following functions usually;

•daily liquidity position reviews (for PDCs management and net trade financing exposure),
•dealing with banks for letter of credit and reviewing documents for presentation (LCs),
•preparing income and expenditure report (executive summary for Managing Director),
•liaison with external auditors and external stakeholders for business terms,
•supervising accounts section including two accountants and two export assistants, and
•Coordinating General Manger sales for costing and arriving at selling prices.

Changes brought or value addition:

•Started in house management reporting system,
•Implemented Open ERP accounting software with the help of accountants,
•Started system of daily liquidity reporting to General Manager,
•Coordinated with different management consultants for company’s credit rating services, and
•Got proposals for trade credit insurance for securing account receivables.

Worked in Horwath Mak (a member firm of Crowe Horwath International) as Audit Senior and handling portfolio of clients in different sectors ranging from trading to services and management consultancies.

I had been associated with KPMG Taseer Hadi & Co. Chartered Accountants (a member firm of KPMG International, a Swiss entity) for around 5 years in audit and assurance department as Audit Senior.

During my tenure at KPMG, I supervised and assisted in the audits of diversified industries. Significant corporate clients that have contributed to my professional development.

International secondments to KPMG UAE:

During my experience at KPMG, I was deputed on international assignments to KPMG Dubai in 2011 as Senior Associate in financial services department and KPMG Abu Dhabi in ENR department in 2012 in KPMG Abu Dhabi,

I was also responsible for over viewing the drafting financials of different SPVs of specific funds and reviewing the compliance of DFSA regulations (Prudential - Investment, Insurance. Intermediation and. Banking Business Module-PIBS) as per applicable category rules.

In light of above mentioned experience, I got opportunity of acquiring following professionals and technical skills;

•Good knowledge and application skills of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs, ),
•Consolidation and investment accounting proficiency,
•Banking correspondence and understanding of key banking finance facilities and credit review procedures
•Application skills of budgeting process and CAPEX allocation policies and variance analysis,
•Financial analysis and drafting analysis reports for senior management review and decision making,
•Investments’ accounting and fund accounting experience,
•Overall knowledge of accounting function from GL to finalization of annual accounts, and
•Knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering procedures in UAE.

IT and technical skills:

•Proficient in all components of Microsoft Office.
•End-user experience of ERP application. ORACLE Financials and currently working on Open ERP.
