As a global category manager assigned to source and manage business application services for SABIC Global IT organization, my responsibilities include the following: • Plan and execute the strategy initiative of the category with the objective of creating value via maximizing cost saving and avoidance. • Procure contracts, amendments to contracts, and change orders for SABIC Global IT organization. • Maintain control over assigned global contracts, ensure regional implementation, and negotiate favorable tax position. Notable Achievements: • Developed and implemented a tax-impact analysis procedure that can result in as much as 30% of direct saving. • Restructured existing contracts and arrangements to account for different global developments with the objective of centralizing spend data to enhance internal control and avoid double charging. • Achieved an average of 18% direct saving “Value Creation”.

As the Lead Specialist for Halliburton’s Saudi Arabia and Bahrain Global Logistics department, my responsibilities included:
• Lead and plan the corporate desk function of the department, which mainly involves the development, sustainment, and ensuring compliance of all processes, tasks, policies, and procedures implemented and controlled by the department.
• Conducting monthly internal audits and compliance review and develop recommendations to apply control measures to standardize the Department unstructured work.
• Maintain and improve the reporting and organization structure, generate monthly performance report, analyze and address deviations as it occurs.
• Develop and monitor internal and external KPIs in line with the Department strategic objective, which I was involved in formulating.
Notable Achievements:
• Restructured the entire logistical process executed in Saudi Arabia to account for external and internal requirement, this initiative resulted in the development of Orders and Shipments Tracking Systems which is currently being implemented in other regions. This initiative also resulted in immediate improvement in customer service and resource requirement.
• Automated the filing and permits procedures utilizing existing infrastructure, this automation minimized audit findings to 1% only.
• Mapped all functions executed by the department, and developed all relative working instructions and procedures in line with Halliburton Quality System.

As a member of the initial team that built the first lead logistics solution center (4PL) in the Middle East providing integrated end-to-end solution to Ma’aden Aluminum, my responsibilities included:
• Engage the customer and develop positive relationship.
• Develop and implement an effective and efficient organization tailored specifically to the need of the customer.
• Maintain and improve organization structure and design, develop and monitor internal and external KPIs, map and develop standard operating procedures and working instructions.
• Lead and train global resources involved in the execution of shipments.
• Engineer cost effective solutions and manage its implementation, this involve the development of technical proposals and engaging the customer in workshop and clarification meetings.
Notable Achievements:
• Designed and implemented Ma’aden Aluminum Smelter finished products outbound logistical processes; this involves building the organization in terms of structure and resources, drafting the standard operating procedures, and developing local service providers for execution.
• Continuously improved service capacity by leading several initiatives involving the customer and the service providers that resulted in an average capacity to process 1200MT daily with minimum resources.
• Established measures to solidify operating procedures by developing internal training programs and process quality documents covering all functions.

As a Plng and Progs Analyst III under Saudi Aramco’s professional development program (PDP), I had the chance to work in a variety of roles within Saudi Aramco’s Material Supply Organization covering a multitude of functions:
MRP Controller - Support Services Procurement:
- Analyzing, maintaining, and fulfilling daily order reservation and work orders through the development and release of purchase requisitions.
- Manage inventory level of cataloged items by deciding the replenishment strategy, setting of safety stock and re-order points.
Procurement Planner - Support Services Procurement:
- Carry on daily purchasing activities for both low and high value direct charge requisition.
- Evaluate high moving items to establish and manage purchase agreements when necessary.
Storehouse Specialist - Northern Area Warehousing:
- Coordinate and smooth line the communication and workflows of various parties involved in the delivery of materials to Ras Tanura Refinery.
- Support Material Planners and Engineer in locating and ordering items to support the refinery’s operation
Contract Representative - IT & Engineering Services Contract Procurement:
- Procure contracts, amendments to existing contracts, and change order.
- Negotiate on behalf of Saudi Aramco to secure favorable terms and direct saving.
- Ensure all involved parties conformance to Saudi Aramco’s procedure

The leader of the university team that helped design and implement new procedures and structures for the multi-million dollar warehouse extension scheduled to be built in mid 2012 by working closely with warehousing. I also was involved in establishing a new shipping and receiving system to minimize cost and maximize productivity by working closely with Sales.
