Role: Network Security Engineer
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the planning and Designing of IT infrastructure for both corporate and business applications.
Extensive experience in designing/creating IT infrastructure architecture from major infrastructure vendors like (Palo Alto, F5, Fortinet, TrendMicro, Cisco, Microsoft) with focus on Security, Network, Systems and Storage.
Contributing to designing and developing new infrastructure and applications and improvement of existing ones.
Defining the companies’ IT strategy and aligning it with business requirement.
Insuring the IT infrastructure (Security, Storage, Networking, systems etc.) of the company is optimal and aligned with the business needs.
Managing RFI, RFQ, RFP and negotiating with vendors on hardware/software purchase,
support and maintenance contracts renewals.
Providing advice and consultancy to management including request for changes to existing operational strategy. Evaluates, recommends and plans for acquisition/upgrade/migration of all utility software and hardware.
Conducting Infrastructure capacity planning/review and studying the business IT requirement for future data-center hardware, software upgrade.
Designing, developing, reviewing and improving business continuity procedures, and planning/conducting Disaster Recovery drill/Test.
Reviewing, updating improving and making sure that technical/operational document are up to date.
Managing projects like (Mobility attendance software “iTime”, ISE, FortiToken, SafeGuard).

Responsibilities:
Managed Services for the STC IPTV Project.
E2E Troubleshooting for the NG-IPTV.
Daily operational tasks on UMS, Ticketing system, DHCP Server, I2000.
Coordination & Escalation to xNOC’s management for IPTV related Tickets and Issues.
Reporting (IPTV KPI, System Utilization, Analysis, Incident & Root Cause Analysis).
Troubleshooting & Maintenance of NE-80E routers (Main Stream Provider).
Working on IGMP and OSPF protocols.
Project: Princess Noura University .
Project Profile: one of the biggest university in the world with 4000 devices of cisco 2960, 3750, 6509, Nexus 7010, 5010, 2248, 10, 000 Access points and 78000 IP phones of cisco.
Responsibilities :
Troubleshooting & Resolving Operating System, Network & Hardware related issues.
Upgrade Cisco Switches IOS using TFTP Server.
Configuring and implementing the 2950, 3750 & 6509 series switches.
Maintaining the backups of Running, startup configuration and IOS backup.
Coordination with Cisco for replacement of faulty equipment (RMA).
Worked on different monitoring tools like Wireless Control System (WCS), Cisco Works
LMS, and Cisco Unified Operation Manager (CUOM).
Configuring and Creating the VLANs like DATA, IPT, AV, Wireless, and IPTV on the 3750 Catalyst switches.
Generating the Internet bandwidth utilization report from the HP Network Node Manager tool.
Creating DHCP scope in Bluecat Proteus.
Installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting of CISCO Switches.
Up gradation and backup of CISCO IOS.
Configuring Layer-2 port channels between the devices.
Configuring the IP phones in the Cisco Unified Call Manager (CUCM).
Troubleshooting the IP phones (G7942, 6921, SNOM) to solve the issues from the call
manager.
Troubleshooting the network devices in order to solve the internet issues for the end users.
Visiting the sites to solve the problems whenever the network goes down in the monitoring
tool.
Troubleshooting and managing all switching issues with VLANs, and Ether channel.
Identifies diagnoses and resolves network problems.
Assigning the networking issues through the E-Help line and HP NNM (ESNAD) Service
manager ticketing system.
Configuring the DHCP Scope for the different services like Cisco IPT, Cisco Access
points, PCs for internet access, Master clock Devices for time synchronization.
Attending Network Calls via phone, emails and Remedy Ticketing system.
Supported in building a network infrastructure at the new branch (located in Riyadh - Exit10)
Trained in the network section where I got to know the infrastructure design of SRCA, Data Canter, and technical support as well as supporting in setting up new accounts in Active Directory
