Heading the Product Development and Delivery division of the company, we are focused on developing and implementing solutions for large investment banking and capital market clients.
Worked as Head of Information Technology, reporting to CEO. The company is a leading IT service provider in UAE and I am responsible for the overall technology delivery, support service delivery and business development of the division. Before taking the current role I was the Head of Development & Systems and at different intervals I was assigned the role of Program/Project Manager, Technical Project Manager, Solutions Architect and Technical Consultant by the company.
Duties & Responsibilities:
o Oversee PMO activities and enforce the approved processes and procedures.
o Take the role of Delivery Head or Project/Program Manager based on criticality of the project or client preference.
o Estimate, plan and allocate resources to software system delivery programs
o Manage all software development activities and assist the team in solution design and architecture
o Enforce service SLA’s and oversee the support team activities and address escalations.
o Pre-sales activities: estimation, proposal creation and technical presentation
o Examine, evaluate & assess customer satisfaction levels & derive methods to implement corrective & preventive action if required
o Derive strategy to encourage clients to retain existing business and generate additional business by offering products or services.
o Preparing division’s budget for the year, monitor & control activities to achieve the budgeted plan.
o Examine, evaluate & assess potential changes in the market and define strategy to adapt new trends and technologies.
o Identify area for employee improvement & drive performance reviews
I have worked here as a software development Project Leader, reporting to their CFO. The company is a subsidiary of a leading holding company in KSA and was assigned the duty of developing their in-house ERP application. During my tenure in the company I also have developed their first web based B2B system to integrate their business functions with that of Saudi Aramco, the world leading Oil Company from the country.
I have worked here as a Software Faculty. The company is a subsidiary of Aptech Computer Education and was focusing on offering computer courses to professionals and graduates. I have provided trainings to students on Oracle, Developer 2000, VB 6, Visual C++, Java, JDeveloper, IBM Visual Age etc.
