* Oversee facility requirements for power, space, and systems connectivity, reporting power, space, and cooling usage on a regular basis.
* Participate in data center related project management activities to support business.
* Participate in disaster recovery planning, implementation, testing and readiness for data center systems.
- Oversees the installation of new / or the rebuild of existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
- Oversees the development and malignance of installation, configuration, and operational procedures.
- Contribute to and maintain system standards.
- Oversee daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created, and media is recycled and sent off site as necessary.
- Oversee the repair and recovery from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted parties.
- Oversee the periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning.
- Oversee the ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required.
- Oversee the configuration of CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required.
