* Responsible for planning, scheduling and tracking project timelines and milestones using MS Project
* Executing mechanical activities as per the schedule
* Managing QA/QC activities to maintain and improve quality of work without any appreciable increase in cost and time.
* Executing inspection activities according to the applicable standards of quality, health, safety & environment (QHSE).
* Monitoring all QA/QC activities as per approved Inspection Test Plan
* Recommending changes in designs, specifications and schedules to accommodate conditions at site or to expedite execution
* Executing all mechanical commissioning and start-up activities for the process, utility and auxiliary systems associated with the power plant.
* Commissioning of systems/subsystems in accordance with the commissioning procedures and commissioning and start-up schedule.
* Supervising and executing all pre-commissioning activities like air blasting, hydro testing, flushing, pickling, heat tracing, and cold alignment of rotating equipment, individual testing and functional testing of mechanical equipments like pumps, separators, compressors etc.
* Preparing and reviewing WPS and PQR as per project scope.
* Witnessing all the testing activities and signed off the documents
* Compiling relevant documentation to support handover and acceptance of systems to Operations Group.
* Coordinating & leading maintenance team and managing all maintenance activities of combined cycle power plant.
* Supervising and implementing cost effective and efficiency oriented maintenance of mechanical equipment's like GT, ST, HRSG, cooling towers, pumps, HX, Valves and compressors as per OEM recommendations.
* Preparing, executing and monitoring work orders of routine and planned maintenance activities through CMMS (MAXIMO).
* Preparing Job planes (JPs) and Risk Assessment (RA) for PMs, PDMs and CMs
* Developing and implementing data collection systems and programs, root cause analysis, temperature and vibration spectrum analysis, lubrication analysis, thermal growth, alignment and bearing management, infrared monitoring and analysis to prevent breakdowns.
* Managing consumables, mechanical tools and spare parts for normal and critical assets.
* Generating monthly maintenance report through MAXIMO for customer on-going submission
* Developing and implementing reliability centered maintenance approach (RCMA) to enhance assets and plant availability, reliability and efficiency.
* Organizing any break down maintenance activity within the minimum time.
* Participated in Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) for critical assets
* Responsible to review Quality WI and TILs (GE technical information letter) and implementing recommendations to applicable equipments (e.g. BI, FPI of GT 3rd stage buckets)
* Dedicated outage coordinator to conduct outage meetings (CI, HGPI, MI etc.), coordinating with all departments, planning and progress monitoring of outages activities through MS project and MAXIMO.
* Arranging and managing manpower resources for outages
* Dedicated document controller responsible to control and implement IMS procedures
* Implementing Integrated Management System in his area of responsibilities.
* Reviewed design to check compliance of the codes and standards as per contract.
* Supervised erection & installation activities of the EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) contractor.
* Ensured execution of all project’s activities according to the applicable standards of quality, health, safety & environment (QHSE).
* Monitored progress of the EPC contractor as per project’s master schedule on MS Project.
* Coordinated site meetings with the contractors for the resolution of site bottlenecks.
* Reviewed contractor’s mechanical works design proposals, specifications and procedures and issued approvals accordingly.
* Inspected QA/QC activities as per ITP (Inspection Test Plan).
* Implemented pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures.
* Supervised pre-commissioning and commissioning activities like pressure testing, flushing, chemical cleaning, steam blowing, functional tests and operational tests.
