• Performing RF Simulations (using Atoll) to predict the cell site coverage and capacity
• Performing initial system planning that includes field surveys and drive tests to predict cell site coverage and to identify sites for acquisition.
• Evaluating the PN Planning Calculations using different PN Planning Methods
• Generating Neighbor Lists
• Evaluating the effectiveness of the CDMA by doing regular Drive Tests to identify poor coverage and quality areas.
• Determination of appropriate RF parameters such as Antenna type and heights, power budget, Forward link Reverse link path balance, effective radiated power, antenna tilt.
• Responsible for the optimization for the network that includes drive testing and tuning of cell parameters to achieve better quality of service, changing configuration of the sites, suggesting ways to achieve capacity and coverage objectives.
• Optimization of CDMA, EVDO and LTE networks to troubleshoot and improve KPIs
• Perform RF performance activities in customer projects independently, according to project plan and in project manager’s guidance
• Analysis of KPIs, investigation and improvement of network quality problems
• Analysis of neighbor relations and implementation of corrections
• Troubleshoot system problems such as Pilot pollution, drop calls, dropped connections, handoff failures and interference issues.
• Perform root-cause analysis of RF issues to meet target KPIs.
• Recommend parameter changes to improve performance and prepare status reports.
• Generate scripts necessary for RF optimization.
• Network elements monitoring, analysis, fine tuning, optimization and troubleshooting.
• Operating in compliance with the processes, methods and tools linked to the job and possesses service excellence awareness
- Develops project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans; conferring with management.
- Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements; assigning personnel to phases and elements; reviewing bids from contractors.
