I am working in the position of Network Engineer assigned to project of Operation & Maintenance of network infrastructure of Royal Saudi Air Force. I am working in this position since March 2010. First with Electronic Concepts Co and now with Mohammad Mansour Al Rumaih Co (MIDIS group KSA) as my contract sponsor company. My responsibilities have evolved over these eight years from a junior engineer to a senior in our section.
My responsibilities in the position of my job include the following.

• Configuring Routers, Firewalls, Switches and VPNs according to the set client (RSAF) standards.
• Evaluate, test recommend and implement specific network solutions.
• Ensure compatibility of all communications computer hardware and software.
• Provide hands-on support, maintenance, performance monitoring and optimization of network of all LAN/WAN infrastructure including physical cable plant, wireless and associated equipment.
• Schedule and co-ordinate installation and maintenance of software and hardware on the network.
• Carry out regular repair and maintenance of UPS systems from capacities of 1KVA, 3KVA to 20KVA.
• Manage network projects related to technology pilots, conversions and implementations.
• Network addresses assignment, management and implementation of routing protocols such as IS-IS, OSPF, BGP, and routing table configurations.
• As an experienced Electronic Engineer I also carry out chip level hardware repairs ranging from a network access switch to network core switch.
• Daily network administration and maintenance
• Monitoring network usage analyzing the network performance and maintaining records and logs.
• Ensuring the cost effective and efficient use of network.
• Analyzing and resolving faults, ranging from a major system crash to a forgotten password.
• Keeping the network to be highly scalable for future improvements and upgrading.
• Designing and implementing small to medium networks environments using latest available technologies and trends.
• Design and setup wireless access points that support both secure and open access

• Troubleshooting malfunction of network hardware and software applications.
• Both responding to enquiries and getting information from staff, administrators, service providers and product vendors.
• Working closely with other departments/Wings and collaborating with other IT staff.
• Keeping a thorough knowledge about the latest trends and issues in the field of networking.
• Supervising the RSAF Technicians in carrying out the repair and maintenance of Network Switches, Computers, Printers and other Peripherals.
• Designing and conducting training courses and workshops for RSAF technicians and conducting tests.
• Supervising and carrying out annual Network Preventive Maintenance and Inspections in Airbase.

I have worked with Electronic Concepts Co (Saudi Arabia) from April 20th 2009 till December 31st 2009 as a Network specialist and Engineer on the project of Bell 412 EP full flight simulator for the Royal Air Force of Saudi Arabia. And I have been trained and certified by various companies in the field of simulation during this period.
