• Support the Engineering lead in coordinating/communicating various issues that affect the electrical engineering design, safety, and regulatory compliance of the work and keep the Engineering Lead informed of electrical engineering progress, deviations and execution concerns.

• Assist the Engineering Lead in looking after the contractor's activities with respect to electrical engineering execution such as ensuring that all affected parties are familiar with engineering execution plans, procedures, objectives, and overall job requirements and that the contractor staffs the project with adequate numbers of qualified personnel. Ensure that the contractor use the latest version of appropriate design tools, including computer hardware and software and adheres to all appropriate specifications, standards and regulations.

• Facilitate and coordinate all electrical technical work products and is responsible for technical input on facilities sharing/allocation issues.

• Identify and assess deviations to Contract Technical Specifications and regulatory requirements; ensure that such deviations will be processed according to project procedures and maintains Deviation Control Log.

• Responsible for insuring that electronic Management of Change (eMOC) on Project design is performed according to established procedures, and work with the Business Unit to ensure eMOC adequately documents rational

• Contributes to the development all of Project Report and protocols to ensure a successful GATE compliance review. .

• Participate in kick-off meetings with the contractor and PMT to ensure common understanding of engineering requirements, including deliverables.

• Prepares Single Line Diagrams, General Arrangement Drawings, Equipment and Cable route layouts, small power and lighting layouts, conduit and cable tray installation layout, etc.

• Perform detailed calculations such as Transformer sizing, Generator sizing, Cable and cable tray sizing, earthing and lightning calculations.

• Prepare Lighting Design and lighting calculation by using DIALux software.

• Prepare Short-Circuit calculations, Load Flow Analysis and Protective Device Selectivity/Coordination Study by using ETAP software.

• Review of KOC comments on electrical deliverables and provide technical responses within the project requirement and scope.

• Review of vendor’s technical offers and ensure compliance with specifications, codes and standards, and customer/client’s requirements. Conduct meetings with vendors/manufacturers in order to ensure that the equipment and materials that they are supplying are as per the project requirements.

• Witness vendor’s inspection and testing of their electrical equipment ensuring compliance with project requirements and specifications.

• Prepare weekly progress report and three weeks look ahead for work activities.

• Conducts field survey and inspection to ascertain details of construction and to ensure that the design specifications are followed and render on-the-spot decisions to effect field revisions, when necessary, to avoid delays in completion of projects.

• Supervise a team of electrical supervisor, foreman and technicians during construction stage activities to ensure smooth workflow and adjusts schedules when necessary to avoid delays.

• Inspect completed installations and observe operations, to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.
